Falcons Favored Over Bears in a Potential Last-Possession Shootout
The Falcons’ quarterback situation has been chaotic to start the season, while the Bears are coming off a difficult game against the Packers. Still, Ben Johnson and the presence of playmakers on both sides make this an appealing matchup.
For fantasy players, this game offers plenty of possibilities. Caleb Williams is returning, giving Chicago’s pass catchers a chance to get back on track. D’Andre Swift is also running hard and looking good, although Kyle Munga will probably miss another game.
For Atlanta, Michael Pennox looks like he will be fine. That should mean frequent targets for Drake London and plenty of touches for Bijon Robinson, who is an MVP candidate.
Atlanta’s ability to create pressure without blitzing is a concern. Williams could be rusty and less mobile coming off his injury, so the Falcons have the advantage on their fast home track.
Neither defense appears certain to slow down the opposing playmakers. This could become a game in which the team with the ball last wins, which is exactly the kind of matchup football fans love.
