Bengals-Ravens Matchup Could Come Down to the Quarterbacks
The Week 7 matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens is difficult to assess. Injuries at quarterback, including Lamar Jackson’s absence, have held Baltimore back, but backup quarterback Snoop Huntley has played well.
A key question is how much confidence to place in the Bengals’ defense. It appears better than it was a year ago, although facing Huntley instead of Jackson may not provide a complete test.
Baltimore can make Huntley comfortable by giving Derrick Henry the ball 25 times. If the Ravens can control the clock, keep Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati offense off the field, and hold the scoring in the 20s rather than the 30s, the home team has a strong chance as a 1.5-point underdog.
Still, the Bengals would be the pick. If the game reaches the fourth quarter and a quarterback must make a decisive play, Joe Burrow is the more trusted option over Huntley. Either way, this should be a competitive and entertaining divisional game that comes down to the wire.
