Christian McCaffrey Injury Outlook After 49ers Bye

Christian McCaffrey Expected to Be Fine After the Bye

Christian McCaffrey’s thigh injury raised concerns given his history of returning to games before later missing extended time with lower-body injuries.

However, the most encouraging news is that San Francisco has a bye, giving McCaffrey time to rest before Week 9. His return to the game, along with his ability to use the bike and loosen up, suggests the injury is not significant. If it were more serious, he likely would not have been doing those things.

With the additional recovery time provided by the bye, McCaffrey is expected to be fine.
