Browns Favored Over Titans in Matchup Expected to Stay Under the Total
The Cleveland Browns have been the NFL’s biggest positive surprise this season and are now road favorites for the first time, laying 1.5 points at Tennessee.
The Titans are coming off a win over the Indianapolis Colts and have consistently covered the spread this season. Regardless of their final record, they appear headed toward one of football’s best against-the-spread records. That raises a fair question about whether this is the right time to sell high on Cleveland.
With the total at 37.5, the under may be the best play. Cleveland should be capable of winning by a field goal, but Watson has delivered lackluster performances over the past two weeks. The weather contributed to his struggles against the Jets, while his latest outing came against a division opponent and still ended with a victory.
Cleveland is also dealing with injuries. Quinshawn Judkins is hopeful to return, which could help a team that has struggled to run the football consistently. Even so, the Browns have continued finding ways to win and currently sit atop their division.
Tennessee also deserves credit for refusing to quit and finding a way to beat the Colts. However, Cleveland is favored to eke out a victory in what could resemble a 16-13 game. It may not offer much fantasy production or many red-zone highlights, but another close Browns win appears possible.
