But on the other side of the field is the Detroit Lions. And this is a Detroit team, Joe, that didn't score in that first, uh, half at all. They didn't get the first touchdown of the game until, until under the two-minute warning of that first half, and they had a team total in the 30s. The touchdowns that they put up, uh, they weren't garbage time. They had a chance to win the game. I know the offensive pass interference. It was all very wonky end of the game. Ultimately, they look. The offense wasn't there. What do you feel when you look at Detroit, the bigger problem is the offense or the defense, because they very likely now will miss the playoffs after being the number one seed in the NFC last year. I think it's the defense. I, I honestly believe that. But again, you know, we talked about it as well, Jared Goff in a road environment going to Soldier Field or going to Lambeau. Do you have confidence in that team? To put up, you know, 25, you know, 28 points a game. No, I don't. You know, I, I think a fast track inside where they host a home game or they go indoors. Yeah, then I bet on Jamir Gibbs. I bid on, uh, bid on the speed of Jason Williams and Saint Brown, but I can't in, in, in this type of format. I think they're significantly, At a disadvantage now with both coordinators. We saw, uh, Dan Campbell take over the play calling duty the middle part of the year. The offense at times has looked good, but again, when you get torched by LA in the second half, when you get torched by Pittsburgh, and again, you, You just allow multiple chunk plays, you're not gonna be able to stop anybody in a playoff environment. And no matter who they go up against, I mean, outside of Hutchinson, who do they really have? Yeah, so look, the defense is injured again, and, and we know that that's a part of the story, but at some point if you're injured every year, you gotta look inward. We know the defense was injured last year, but And the defensive injuries, I think are probably the biggest issue they ran into this season. Jared Grew for 364 yards and 3 touchdowns, and no one, nobody would be silly enough to think he played well in that game. He's so far from an elite quarterback. He is immobile, and he is, he is completely immobile, and so much of it, Joe, is about getting into these super speedsters like you talk about, or, you know, Aman Ra, who's obviously a clean number one wide receiver, and if you're the Lions. What I think is the likeliest situation is they chalk this year up to injury, to down year, we just need a soft reset. But, The Lions may at some point ask themselves, do we have a quarterback actually good enough to go all the way with? Because the reality is the Rams had this quarterback and said no. The answer to that is no and traded him. And sometimes we try to pretend that that didn't happen, but that is exactly what happened for the team who is, who's won a Super Bowl since Goff left and is still favored to win the Super Bowl this year. I think golf is more. Effective when the rushing attack is there. Let's not forget, like, think about it. Last year, this year when they were dominant, 01 of the best rushing attacks and offensive lines in the NFL. You look 13 yards or 15 yards on 12 carries yesterday. Uh, Jamia Gibbs was, was held in check by LA last week. So there was no offensive balance. It's all Jared Goff. Now, I agree with you. I, I'm not putting Jared Goff in the likes of, uh, you know, Pat Mahomes and all the, all the greats or Stafford. Or that level, but I do feel he's above average if you give him a clean pocket. The problem is Detroit is much more effective when they are grounding and pounding you and working off a play action with, with, with crossing patterns. When, when Jamer Gibbs and, and Montgomery are getting 4 and 5 yards a clip and they're in 2nd and 4 and 3rd and 2, they kill you. When they're in 3rd and 8 and 3rd and 9, Jared Goff is, is basically pedestrian.
