Mike Martz Predicts Rams Win Over Bills on Monday Night

Segment Spotlight: Quick Hits From Outspoken With Dan Sileo

Mike Martz Backs the Rams to Overcome Travel Fatigue Against Buffalo

Former Rams head coach Mike Martz believes travel has been the biggest factor in the team’s slow start. The Rams have been all over the place and have played only one home game, leaving them tired and somewhat banged up.

Despite those struggles, Martz expects the Rams to defeat the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. With Nacua back and Tutu Atwell adding speed, he believes the offense has too much firepower to remain quiet. Once the unit starts clicking, he said the Rams will be difficult to beat.

Martz also expects the defense to improve after failing to perform as anticipated early in the season. In his view, fatigue has affected the entire team.

When assessing Sean McVay as a play caller, Martz placed him among the league’s best, alongside Ben Johnson and Shanahan. He praised McVay’s experience and ability to adjust during games, an area Martz said McVay struggled with earlier in his career. He now sees McVay as being on target and knowing when to change his approach.

On the Buffalo side, Martz addressed Josh Allen’s recent turnovers. He explained that when an offense lacks personnel, particularly outside, the quarterback can feel responsible for making every play. That pressure can lead to taking chances, which Martz described as a difficult position for any quarterback.

Martz picked the Rams to take care of Buffalo in what he expects to be an interesting game. He also pointed to Matt Stafford’s play against the Eagles and will be watching to see whether the Rams bounce back.
