Boy, I, I hope you guys all enjoyed those just compelling matchups in that NFL yesterday. What could you get any better than what we got yesterday? I mean, I'm gonna look back on this Christmas slate of football. I am, I'm gonna be honest. I'm gonna look back on this Christmas slate of football and say, this is some of the greatest sports I've ever seen in my life. High drama. High stakes, great performances all over the place. wow, what a great job. So let's go over these NFL games that were just glorious and made so many of you people so happy. As a reminder, the NFL doesn't pay you. You, whether you have Netflix or any of the services, Prime or however you watch it, you pay them, but hey. If you're happy, then I'm happy. We'll start with the Cowboys Commanders game where Dak Prescott had his lowest completion percentage of the season so far against a third-string quarterback that you were dying to see. How could you miss a third-string quarterback for Washington and Dak was, uh, sacked. A season-high 6 times in that compelling 30 to 23 game where they were going for 4th down because the game didn't matter. Cowboys, of course, won because of the game they had absolutely no stakes. And now Dak Prescott comes forward and says, hey everybody, after the game, I'm gonna play the last game of the year. Because I have pride. Why didn't you show some damn pride before now? The Cowboys haven't shown pride in years, but now he's got to be out there. That game was so bad, and the only reason. That we don't think that game was bad was because we had a second game that was far worse, but hey, go NFL, go Christmas. That was not a fun thing to watch in that first game. I felt like at some point while I'm having fun and spreading holiday cheer and love with my family and friends, that the NFL gave me coal, but it wasn't coal. It was something that stinks that kind of looks like coal and that's what you put in my uh in the, in the stocking. Had to put it outside. It was, it was feced smelling coal from that first game. Then we move on to the second game, um, Vikings versus the Lions. Now again. If you liked it, I'm gonna tell you, I love that game. The winning quarterback threw for, uh, you gotta hear this, 51 yards. Wow. I mean, could you imagine an NFL quarterback going out there and playing all four quarters and only throwing 51 yards to have a have the honor of seeing another. Third string quarterback, no, no, no. To see a 4th string quarterback actually on that depth chart because Carson Wentz, uh, ripped his arm off earlier this season, tried to play through it and had to have a, a massive surgery. Um, the 4th string quarterback because JJ McCarthy had another, uh, injury with the hairline fracture to his hand, to see him throw for 51 yards and the leading receiver on the winning team. Have 30 yards. What an honor NFL. Thank you so much for providing that for me. I was told that I had to bow to the NFL and love everything that they do and let me tell you, I love 30 yards from the top receiver on the winning team. And of course, on the Lions side, this is a season that's just a disaster and you have to start to question Dan Campbell, the head coach, officially, because technically going into the game on Christmas yesterday, game number 2, had they won out and the Packers lost out, the Lions could still find a way into the postseason. Now that this game is complete and the Vikings somehow again with 51 yards passing, wins the game and knocks the Lions out of the postseason. You now have to look at Dan Campbell in a very different way because was it Dan Campbell or was it his assistant coaches? Because when he first got the job and he was talking about lions and hunting and bears and ripping people apart and all that stuff, and he's taken because he's the coach of the Lions, literally as if his players were lions, people were skeptical. Then last season they're a one seed and everybody was on board with him again until, of course, Jaden Daniels in Washington shows up and takes him out. In the postseason, he lost both his offensive coordinator who's not a head coach with the Bears, as you know, and his defensive coordinator, who's now the head coach of the Jets. And now when he's standing on his own, it did not look good. And once again, if you're Detroit, I'm not saying you fired Dan Campbell, but you probably have to make it mandatory that he changes his, now people are saying fire him, fire him. I'm saying don't fire him, but unless this, you go to him and say this. If you don't change your assistants, then we'll change you. You need a new offensive coordinator, Dan Campbell. You need a new defensive coordinator, Dan Campbell, but if you make those changes, we'll give you another year. If you decide to be super loyal to your guys and some coaches make that choice. That unfortunately, you can take those coordinators with you to the next job. I believe that coaches don't just forget how to coach. If you believe them at the start of the season. Yes, this is bad. This is bad, and you have to start watching him, but in my opinion, he gets another year if he's willing to play ball and find assistants that are as good as the assistants in Johnson and Campbell that he had in Johnson and Glenn that he had before. If he has those guys, then fine. And who knows if the Jets fire, fired Glenn, then maybe they could have him back.
