Spectacular Start to NFL Season with High Scores Dominating Week One

The Bears have emerged as a potentially dual-sided team, displaying what might be the best offense coupled with the weakest defense in the NFL. Reflecting on a historical matchup from the '90s that this resembles, it’s clear that this trend isn't isolated. Following the completion of the games tonight, this season is on track to become the highest-scoring first week since the NFL merger in 1970.

Typically, defenses are thought to dominate early in the season, but this year, offenses are in the spotlight. In recent games, outcomes have been mixed regarding the total points, with the game between the Giants and the Cowboys going under the projected points, while the Raiders and Dolphins just surpassed their expected total. Personally, I managed a perfect betting record on these games, a welcome change after a challenging August.

Looking ahead, tonight’s game features the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs with an over/under set at 43.5 points. Given the offensive explosions we've seen thus far, many might lean towards betting the over. However, based on the pattern of scoring and a gut feeling, I suspect this might actually be an under game.
