Rams vs. Raiders Odds, Predictions and Best Bets Today

Segment Spotlight: Quick Hits From NFL Pro Football Today

Rams Enter Las Vegas as Favorites Despite Continued Late-Game Struggles

The outlook for the Rams-Raiders matchup has shifted dramatically since August. The Rams were 8.5-point road favorites on the early line, but they are now favored by only three points in Las Vegas.

There is still a case for believing the Rams could get healthy, finish 9-8 and become a team nobody wants to face. Matthew Stafford is playing better, Aaron Donald is improving, and the hope is that Adams can return. However, the Rams first have to start winning. Their games keep coming down to the final minute, and they continue to find ways to lose.

The best team does not always win; the team that plays the best wins. The Rams appeared to be the better team than the Arizona Cardinals last week, but they still lost. They have struggled to find their rhythm since Week 1. The defense looks beatable without Myles Garrett, while the offense is strained by Puka Nacua’s health and Davante Adams’ absence, forcing the team to turn to Konata Mumpfield and other players.

The tight ends offer some appealing options in this matchup. Brock Bowers’ yardage over against the Rams is worth considering, while a Tyler Higbee touchdown also appears to be in play. The Raiders have allowed six touchdowns to tight ends through six weeks.

The Rams are theoretically the better team, and Stafford remains at the top of the NFL’s passing-yard total. Even so, confidence in Los Angeles has been shaken by its repeated late-game losses. The preferred approach is to pass on the game, with the Raiders as the side to consider against the spread.
