United States vs Finland Game Pick
The United States is the heavy favorite in this matchup. The top forward line consists of Kyle Connor, Jack Eichel, and Matthew Tkachuk, followed by a second line of Jake Guentzel, Auston Matthews, and Jack Hughes. The bottom six has Matt Boldy, J.T. Miller, Brady Tkachuk, Dylan Larkin, Vincent Trocheck, and Brock Nelson. On defense, the United States probably has the best three pairs in the entire tournament, with Jaccob Slavin and Adam Fox paired on the top line, Zach Werenski and Charlie McAvoy on the second, and Noah Hanifin and Brock Faber on the third.Â
For Finland, their offense is their bright spot, with a top forward line consisting of Aleksander Barkov, Patrik Laine, and Teuvo Teravainen. The second line has Sebastian Aho centering Mikko Rantanen and Artturi Lehkonen. Finland’s bottom six comprises Mikael Granlund, Roope Hintz, Kaapo Kakko, Eetu Luostarinen, Anton Lundell, and Joel Armia. Defense is Finland’s weak point. Superstar defenseman Miro Heiskanen is not participating in this tournament due to a lower-body injury he sustained a few weeks ago, which hurts their backend. The defensive pairs are Esa Lindell and Olli Maatta on the top line, with Juuso Valimaki, Henri Jokiharju, Niko Mikkola, and Urho Vaakanainen. Only two to three of those guys play top-four minutes in the NHL, so that’s not a good sign.
The starting goaltenders are Connor Hellebuyck for the United States and Juuse Saros for Finland. These are two unbelievable goalies.
For the value, the best play is the Finland moneyline at +275. Saros can steal games and could squeak out a win for Finland, but it won’t be easy.

United States vs Finland Top Player Prop Pick
I think the United States powerplay will be deadly in this tournament, and I think we’ll see it click starting tonight against Finland. Matthews, Hughes, Tkachuk, Eichel. and Fox make up the PP1 and will be dangerous. Expect Hughes to fly around and find open guys such as Matthews and Tkachuk, but the real sneaky play here is to take Eichel as an anytime goalscorer at +260. That value is too good to pass up on with the season he’s having.
Top USA Player Prop: Jack Eichel Anytime Goalscorer (+260)
There are some intriguing options for Finland, but I like the value for Laine anytime goalscorer at +400. He’s got a wicked release, perhaps the hardest shot in the entire NHL. Laine will surely be in that one-timer spot near the faceoff dot; it wouldn’t shock me if he scored a powerplay goal in this game. Â
Top Finland Player Prop: Patrik Laine Anytime Goalscorer (+400)
This highly anticipated 4 Nations Face-Off battle between the United States and Finland promises to be an entertaining game. While the United States has talent all across their roster, Finland has one of the best goalies in the tournament in Saros, and their offensive talent makes them very capable of being a sneaky good team moving forward.Â
