Gianluigi Buffon, renowned for his exceptional goalkeeping skills, initially began his career in football at Palmer's youth system at the tender age of 13. Although he started as a midfielder, the 1990 World Cup performance of Cameroon's Thomas Nkono inspired him to become a goalkeeper.
