Players to Watch
C Caden Bodine
Caden Bodine is simply a star. A projected early pick in the 2025 MLB Draft, Bodine has been a rock for Coastal Carolina both behind the plate and at the top of the lineup. Defensively, he’s elite—his framing, arm strength, and blocking are top-tier, and he calls a masterful game. Offensively, Bodine is a pure hitter with exceptional contact rates and plate discipline. He’s the complete package and one of the top catchers in the nation.
3B Blake Barthol
While Coastal’s lineup isn’t built on raw power, Barthol is the team’s primary slugger. He’s posted 12 home runs, 11 doubles, and driven in 50 runs, consistently stepping up in big moments. Though he can be prone to strikeouts, his presence in the middle of the order adds crucial pop. He’s a key X-factor for Coastal’s success in Omaha.
OF Sebastian Alexander
Alexander has emerged as Coastal’s top run producer, leading the team with 53 RBI to go along with 10 homers and 10 doubles. The redshirt junior has been clutch throughout the postseason and is peaking at the perfect time after a quiet 2024. His breakout has been a driving force in the Chants' championship push.
RHP Jacob Morrison
Morrison is the ace every team dreams of—intense, fearless, and reliable. He attacks hitters with a fastball that carries well and complements it with command across the entire strike zone. Even when his best stuff isn’t there, Morrison adjusts and competes. He’s the emotional and competitive heartbeat of this pitching staff.
RHP Cameron Flukey
Flukey brings electric stuff to the mound, with a fastball in the mid-90s (touching 97), a sharp slider, and a curveball. He’s struck out 106 batters in 91.2 innings and posted a 3.24 ERA. One of the top 2026 draft prospects, Flukey’s raw talent and year-over-year improvement have made him a dominant force.
LHP Dominick Carbone
Carbone is Coastal’s bullpen weapon—a high-leverage arm who constantly delivers. With a 2.61 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 38 innings, he’s thrived in multi-inning stints, consistently slamming the door on opponents. Every time he steps on the mound, he brings energy, effectiveness, and shutdown stuff.
