3M Open PGA Betting Guide: Best Bets and Longshots

Akshay Bhatia

Although Akshay Bhatia missed the cut at The Open Championship, he’s still playing about as well as anyone on the PGA Tour and is our best bet to come out on top this week. Before The Open, Bhatia had four straight top-22 finishes, including a pair of top 5 starts. Bhatia is on a solid run and is one of the better ball strikers on tour, which will play well at the TPC Twin Cities. In addition, Bhatia is a strong putter and arguably one of the top in this field this week. Combine all these factors, and you can understand why we’re bullish on him to succeed here. 

Best Bets: Bhatia to Win 3M Open (+2000)

Cam Davis

Not only is Cam Davis rested after not qualifying for The Open Championship last week, but he’s playing some very strong golf. Davis came out on top at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in June and followed that up with a top-30 finish in his most recent start at the Genesis Scottish Open. Davis has the strength to navigate this course and should feast in the expected birdie atmosphere. 

Best Bet: Davis to Win 3M Open (+3000)

Tony Finau

We’ve already seen Tony Finau win this event back in 2022. Factor in that he’s consistently played some strong golf this season, and you can understand why he’s the outright favorite in a week with a lackluster field. After missing the cut at The Open Championship last week, Finau will look to bounce back after having three top-10 starts prior.

3M Open PGA Longshots

Austin Eckroat

We’ve been left scratching our heads at why Austin Eckroat is priced at this number despite being one of the better players in this low-end field. Eckroat has notoriously feasted on these lackluster fields, and despite some inconsistencies in his game this year, this is the exact type of setting you want to target someone with his skill set. 

Best Bet: Eckroat to Win 3M Open (+5500)

Doug Ghim

Is there a more frustrating player to watch every week than Doug Ghim? The talent is there for Ghim, but he often gets in his way and makes life difficult for himself. We’re still tempted to return to the well again for him this week. It’s a hit-or-miss approach with Ghim, but we want him to hit this week.
