But I was finally, I felt like I was finally on the up and up, finally figured out some things, and then luckily, uh, good, good, you know, came to Oklahoma to my home course. I didn't know they were coming. Um, they asked me to be in a video just out of nowhere and really the relationship. It was, it was wild. I, I was just going out to practice. I was on the putting green, and then Garrett Clark just asked me if I wanted to be in this video. He didn't even know who I was. He just saw me on the putting green, asked if I wanted to play. And um that's a God thing right there, bro it's I'll I'll tell you more about that is the getting was good good is crazy the um I, I never watched YouTube golf when I was doing pro golf, and as you know, it's like if you go practice 7 hours a day, 67 hours a day, it's like you don't go home and want to watch more golf. Like you want to just get away from golf as much as possible. So I knew what I knew what good good was because they had seen clips on social media, like Matt Shark's home one, stuff like that. I never watched any videos and then literally about a month before I met them, I started watching their videos. Like it was, it was wild. It was about a month before I started watching their videos and I was like, man, this is actually fun to watch. It's like, you know, it's not, you know, pro golf at all. It's just different, like, you know, these guys are have fun personalities are fun to see just mesh together and um. And then a month later they show up for my course and I'm playing with them, which I think, did that make you nervous playing, by the way, because like you, you're just, you're just coming off of what I would imagine to be just immense pressure that you have internally anytime you step on a tee, all of a sudden you are playing under the lights of YouTube golf with nobody around but some camera guys, but you probably know what that pressure, uh, feels like to, you know, play in front of the cameras, but. What did it, you know, how did you play that day? I mean, it's different. It's, it's so much different feeling than like playing in front of broadcast cameras. I, I don't know how to explain it really. It's just, I think it's a fact that you know that this video you're filming is gonna get a million views. Like there's something about that that's like there's a lot of people gonna be watching me hit this shot and And I was definitely nervous that first tee shot was in that first good good video. It was very nerve-wracking, and we've had guests on the channel and they say the same thing. It's like that's very nervous whenever you first kind of play on a in front of a YouTube camera. um I got my own problems. The extra extra people watching it, they're just joining what I already got going on in my head, which is enough voices. Love it, love it, but um, no, it was, it was, it was fun though, and we had, we, I had a blast doing it, and also going to fact I just is a God thing like. So I started watching them a month before, which helped me know them better, like which I think probably helped me a lot, you know, um, you know, I knew their names. I knew kind of, I knew like Bobby aimed 100 yards right on every shot. Like I knew some of these things about them that I wouldn't have known before that probably helped you on on that day. Exactly, exactly. And then also going to the course is Oaker National, um, that's where you know I was playing at practicing at the time. I, there's a subway about 1 mile from the course and the whole time and you have to drive past the entrance to go to the subway. And the whole time going to the course, I just had a mindset like, all right, I'm gonna go to Subway, get a little sandwich real quick, and I'm gonna go, you know, practice this afternoon. For some reason, right before I got to the entrance, I just kind of told myself, screw it. I'm just gonna go eat lunch at the course. And, and that that's just another little thing that if I had like, if I'd gone to subway, then I, by the time I got back to the course, I'd have been on like hole number 2 and I never would have met them. And so there's a lot of, a lot of little things that look back on now I'm like that was 100%, you know, God has a hand on my shoulder just leading me to, you know, meet those guys and really change my life in this direction. And it's, it's just so cool to think about and, you know, back to the swing issues, it's like. Being in YouTube golf was the perfect place for me to gain my confidence back because I finally figured out the few things that were going on in my swing. I finally figured out the fixes instead of just a bunch of band-aids, band-aids. I finally figured out the two or three things that are like the main staples and what makes my swing good and what I need to work on to make it good. And um but then YouTube golf playing in front of the camera, it's like the perfect, the perfect storm of there's enough pressure with the camera on you. That it will expose you if you're not playing well, but also I'm not having to pay $1500 to go play in a major.
