MLB Best Bets Today: Thursday’s Top 3-Game Parlay Picks

Leg 1: Rays -110

Where to Watch New York Yankees vs Tampa Bay Rays

  • Arena: George M. Steinbrenner Field
  • Location: Tampa, FL
  • Where to Watch: FDSSN, Amazon Prime Video
  • Time: 7:05 p.m. ET
  • Spread: NYY -1.5 | Total: 9.0
  • Moneyline: NYY -110 | TBR -110
  • Yankees vs Rays Matchup Page

The Tampa Bay Rays conclude their 13-game home stretch with a weekend series versus the New York Yankees. Rays pitchers are always up to the task, but their offense has fallen short of the mark. We expect some positive correction this weekend.

Over the past couple of years, the Rays have struggled to consistently generate offense; however, 2025 is shaping up to be a different year. Tampa Bay sits in the top 10 in slugging and on-base percentage, resulting in the 10th-most runs per game. We’re forecasting a strong offensive showing after being held to just four runs over the past two games, including being shut out on Wednesday.

Will Warren could facilitate some of that growth. The righty ranks in the 19th percentile or lower in hard-hit and barrel rates, which won’t play well against the Rays’ hard-hitting lefties. Moreover, Yankees hitters have seen a decline in their offensive metrics, which will likely continue versus Taj Bradley

Tampa Bay is positioned for success in the series opener versus the Yankees. At a pick’em price or lower, we’re making a play on the home side.

Leg 2: LAA-TEX Over 9.5 (+100)

Where to Watch Los Angeles Angels vs Texas Rangers

  • Arena: Globe Life Field
  • Location: Arlington, TX
  • Where to Watch: RSN, FDSW
  • Time: 8:05 p.m. ET
  • Spread: TEX -1.5 | Total: 9.5
  • Moneyline: TEX -150 | LAA +125
  • Angels vs Rangers Matchup Page

Bettors should anticipate a high-scoring game when the Los Angeles Angels and Texas Rangers get down to business at Globe Life Field.

Kumar Rocker is toeing the rubber in this AL West showdown, amid a slide in his analytics profile. Kumar is getting knocked around in the worst way right now. He sits in the fifth percentile in hard-hit rate, giving up solid contact 56.8% of the time. Combined with his other sub-optimal metrics, the righty has put together a 6.90 expected ERA, which is close to on par with his actual mark of 7.94.

Unfortunately, Angels probable starter Jack Kochanowicz hasn’t fared much better. He sits in the league’s bottom half in most advanced categories, epitomized by his 4.38 expected ERA and 9.8% barrel rate.

LA’s offensive production has been better than anticipated this year. Likewise, the Rangers sluggers are starting to find their groove. We’re counting on both offenses to produce, with this one going north of the total.

Leg 3: Mets -135

Where to Watch St. Louis Cardinals vs New York Mets

  • Arena: Citi Field
  • Location: Queens, NY
  • Where to Watch: SNY, FDSMW
  • Time: 7:10 p.m. ET
  • Spread: NYM -1.5 | Total: 7.5
  • Moneyline: NYM -135 | STL +115
  • Cardinals vs Mets Matchup Page

Andre Pallante has been one of the most pleasant surprises early this season. The St. Louis Cardinals ace is off to a 2-0 start with a 2.20 ERA and 1.04 WHIP. However, his analytics profile points toward inevitable regression, negatively impacting the Cardinals’ chances of knocking off the New York Mets.

Unfortunately, Pallante’s analytics profile points toward unsustainable success. The Cardinals righty is pitching well above his expected ERA of 3.80. Further, he gives up too much solid contact, without offering any strikeout reprieve.

Assuredly, Mets hitters will have no problem getting to Pallante. Collectively, New York has seen a significant jump in its OPS and run production metrics over the past week. They’re up to a .728 OPS, a 50-point jump relative to their season-long average of .672. As expected, the Mets have seen a corresponding boost in scoring, jumping to 4.5 runs per game.

Pallante dazzled last time out, but he won’t be able to replicate that performance against the Mets. Plus-money on the run line is an appealing wager, but we’re playing it safe and taking New York on the moneyline.

MLB Best Bets Thursday’s Parlay Picks: Rays -110, LAA-TEX Over 9.5, Mets -135 (+560)

Parlaying these three picks could yield bettors an impressive +560 return on their money. We’re betting on Rays and Mets wins, with the Halos and Rangers going north of the total.
