Elly De La Cruz (+4000)
Despite a lackluster season for the Reds, the excitement generated by Elly De La Cruz has been a bright spot. The 22-year-old made his first All-Star appearance this year and currently leads all of baseball with 58 stolen bases.
What's even more promising is that it seems De La Cruz is only beginning to tap into his full potential.

Updated 2024 NL MVP Odds
With the trade deadline finished and the 2024 MLB season entering the stretch run, here’s a look at the latest odds for the National League MVP.
Shohei Ohtani (-1400)
Shohei Ohtani not pitching in 2024 initially suggested that another player might surpass him in the MVP race. However, with Ronald Acuña Jr. sidelined for the season and Mookie Betts out for a significant stretch, this year now appears to be an ideal opportunity for Ohtani to match Hall of Famer Frank Robinson as only the second player to claim an MVP title in both leagues. Additionally, Ohtani could become the first full-time designated hitter to win an MVP award in any league.
Ketel Marte (+600)
This may simply be a contest for second place, but silver isn't a bad consolation. Ketel Marte is having his best season since he ranked fourth in NL MVP voting in 2019, smashing 29 home runs and recording 11 defensive runs saved at second base.
The Diamondbacks remain contenders, and Marte's NL MVP prospects are still strong, even with Ohtani as the likely front-runner.

Francisco Lindor (+2500)
Francisco Lindor has rebounded from a slow start to deliver his best season since joining the Mets, contributing in numerous ways as the team positions itself for the playoffs. He has notched 22 home runs, 66 RBIs, 24 stolen bases, and 13 outs above average at shortstop.
His peak MVP finish was fifth in 2017 with Cleveland, but he's poised to surpass that performance this year.
Bryce Harper (+3000)
Bryce Harper seemed like Ohtani's main rival for the NL MVP as of the All-Star Break, but his performance dipped in July, with a batting average of just .149 and an OPS of .598. However, he's shown improvement in early August, indicating there's still a chance for the two-time NL MVP to re-enter this year's competition.
Interestingly, aside from his MVP-winning seasons in 2015 and 2021, Harper has yet to finish in the top five of NL MVP voting at any other point in his career.
