Pitching Props: Jax & May Strikeout Unders Tonight

Segment Spotlight: Quick Hits From Game Time Decisions

Pitching Props and Quick Hooks Take Center Stage

Griffin Jacks’ strikeout prop is set at 3.5, while Dustin May is under 2.5 at minus 148. Tampa Bay struck out less than any other team in baseball, which has kept the numbers for Brewers pitchers low.

Jacks may be on a very short leash because Tampa Bay cannot afford to take chances. The expectation is that he will not reach four strikeouts, although there is also a chance he pitches deeper than May. If Jacks performs well, he could work four innings.

May is also unlikely to pitch five innings. However, the Brewers could choose to leave him in longer rather than exhaust their bullpen in Game 4, especially if they believe they can win Game 5.

Starting pitching has largely been a non-factor in the Brewers’ postseason outside of last night. Their games have often been decided later, with the Brewers coming back before Uribe, Ashby and McGill close things out from the bullpen.
