Best NBA Betting Picks for Sunday: 3-Game Parlay Predictions
San Antonio Spurs vs Minnesota Timberwolves
- Location: Target Center (Minneapolis, MN)
- Where to Watch: FDSN, FDSSW
- Time: 8:00 p.m. ET
- Spread: Timberwolves -11 | Total: 233
- Moneyline: Spurs +390/Timberwolves -525
Leg 1: Over 233
The Minnesota Timberwolves continue to fight for crucial positioning in the Western Conference standings. Currently sitting seventh, Minnesota could avoid the perilous Play-In Round by moving up one spot. The T-Wolves are hefty favorites versus the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday night. They should have no problem cashing as home chalk in what should be a high-scoring affair.
The Timberwolves don’t play with a ton of pace, but what they lack in speed, they make up for in efficiency. Minnesota sits in the top half of the league in true shooting and effective field goal percentages. Moreover, they’re one of the top teams from distance. The T-Wolves rank fifth in three-point field goal percentage and three-pointers per game. They’ve parlayed that to overs in three of their last five.
Few teams play worse defense than the Spurs, and that’s reflected in their recent outcomes. San Antonio has gone north of the total in four straight, with opponents averaging 128.5 points per game. Defensively, Victor Wembanyama means a lot to this team, and San Antonio is struggling without him.
Expect the Timberwolves to operate efficiently on offense, but the Spurs should also do enough to keep pace. Ultimately, we’re predicting this one will sail over the total.
Detroit Pistons vs Portland Trail Blazers
- Location: Moda Center (Portland, OR)
- Where to Watch: KATU, KUNP, FDSDET
- Time: 9:00 p.m. ET
- Spread: Pistons -2.5 | Total: 232
- Moneyline: Pistons -140/Trail Blazers +120
Leg 2: Trail Blazers Moneyline +120
There’s no rest for the wicked. Fresh off last night’s five-point loss to the Golden State Warriors, the Detroit Pistons travel north for a test versus the Portland Trail Blazers. The betting market has the Pistons out in front, but we like the Blazers’ chances of pulling off a modest upset.
Portland is sitting eight games below .500 and well out of the playoff picture. Still, their best efforts typically come at the Moda Center. The Blazers are 6-1 over their last seven home games despite being underdogs in all but one of those contests. They’ve had some time to return to neutral after an extended seven-game road trip, undoubtedly giving them an advantage as they settle back in at home.
Losers of three of their last five, the Pistons are loosening their typically stout defensive play. Over their previous five contests, opponents averaged 114.4 points per game against Detroit. Predictably, the Pistons’ defensive metrics also take a hit on the road. Now, playing on consecutive nights puts them at a disadvantage in Portland.
This is an ideal spot to back the Trail Blazers on the moneyline. Detroit is fatigued and has looked ineffective over its recent stretch. Conversely, Portland has been lights out at home. Get a piece of the plus-money underdogs at home.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs Milwaukee Bucks
- Location: Fiserv Forum (Milwaukee, WI)
- Where to Watch: ESPN, FDSWI, FDSOH
- Time: 8:00 p.m. ET
- Spread: Cavaliers -8 | Total: 239.5
- Moneyline: Cavaliers -340/Bucks +270
Leg 3: Bucks +8
Few teams have had the antidote for the potent Cleveland Cavaliers‘ attack this season. The Cavs are riding a 13-game winning streak into tonight’s showdown versus the Milwaukee Bucks, vaulting themselves to the top of the NBA standings. It’s been a good run, and Sunday’s contest is set up as a letdown spot for Cleveland.
A torrid offensive pace kept the Cavaliers afloat earlier this month, but they’ve been hit by inevitable regression over their last two. Cleveland is down to 115.0 points per game on 44.8% shooting over its previous two. That fall was mostly anticipated after the Cavs went north of 120 points in six straight. However, further correction is expected over their coming games.
Milwaukee is coming off a heartbreaking loss on Saturday night but has still put forth improved efforts across its recent schedule. The Bucks are 8-2 over their last 10, knocking off some of the top teams in the league along the way. Additionally, they’ve fared particularly well as underdogs. Milwaukee is 3-1 straight up in its last four games, including 2-0 at home.
More reckless bettors might be tempted into getting a piece of the Bucks on the moneyline. We’re playing it safe and taking them to cover the hefty spread as home underdogs.
