Thunder vs Grizzlies Wednesday Prediction | NBA Picks Today, Best Bets

John Canady

Host · Writer

On Wednesday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder hit the road for a battle atop the Western Conference with the Memphis Grizzlies. Oklahoma City heads into this matchup looking to build on its four-game winning streak with a win. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies are looking to snap its three-game losing skid at home. Regardless of each team’s recent stretch, expect both squads to put forth their best effort to make a statement against one of its biggest competitors in the West.

Please be aware that betting odds may change after the publication of this article.

Thunder vs Grizzlies Best Bet: Grizzlies +8

The Grizzlies head into this matchup, returning to Memphis for their first home game since February 23rd. Taylor Jenkins’s squad went 1-3 over that recent stretch, dropping three straight games, all in heartbreaking fashion. Assuming the Grizzlies head into this matchup looking to put the heartbreak in the past, expect Memphis to come out swinging as they ride the momentum from their home fans. Even if the Grizz don’t win, seeing this game come down to the wire won’t be a shock.

Thunder vs Grizzlies Best Total Bet: Under 250.5

Oklahoma City has been on a tear over the last five games, scoring at least 128 points in each. There’s no denying that the Thunder’s offense can score at a high rate, as they rank No. 4 in the league in points per game with 119.6. On the flip side, Memphis slots in at No. 2 in points per game with 123.3. Considering how explosive both teams are, I expect this game to turn into a shootout. However, scoring more than 250 points will be a tall task for these two squads. A final score of 124-120 seems like a realistic outcome.

Thunder Best Player Bet: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 3+ Threes +215

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the frontrunner to win the Most Valuable Player award, and understandably so. The Thunder star is averaging 32.6 points, 6.2 assists, and 5.2 rebounds on the year, and his improved shooting from beyond the arc has only made him even more of a nightmare to defend than he was before. The Kentucky product has finished with 3+ threes in three straight games and five of his last six. All things considered, I’ll take the odds that Gilgeous-Alexander stays aggressive from deep on Wednesday.

Grizzlies Best Player Bet: Ja Morant 25+ Points Scored +122

Ja Morant has taken a step back offensively this season, but the star guard is still averaging 20.9 points per game. Morant has continuously become more aggressive as the Grizzlies continue down the back half of the season. In his last two games, the 25-year-old has finished with 25+ points in each. Assuming he continues to attack on offense, I’ll take the odds that Morant has another big night on Wednesday.
