The Nebraska Cornhuskers and Illinois Fighting Illini enter Week 4 both undefeated. For Nebraska, it’s the first time in a while the team enters a ranked matchup with confidence in winning. As for Illinois, the team sits at No. 24 in the AP rankings, just inside the Top 25.

Illinois vs. Nebraska

Location: Memorial Stadium (Lincoln, NE) Time: 8 p.m. ET Where to Watch: FOX
Spread: Nebraska -8.5, Moneyline: Nebraska -310, Total: 43.5

Illinois vs. Nebraska Best Bet: Nebraska -8.5

Both squads enter this showdown with the confidence to win, but the Cornhuskers have been on a terror through three weeks. With freshman Dylan Raiola taking the nation by storm, Matt Rhule’s team has dominated both sides of the ball. Nebraska should be able to put up points and slow down the Illinois offense enough to continue their strong season.

Illinois vs. Nebraska Best Total Bet: Over 43.5

Nebraska and Illinois both have offenses that can score in a hurry. Between the two teams, we can’t rule out a shootout with each team fighting to keep their undefeated record alive. This matchup may end with a final score of around 34-27. I’d bet the over on the total.

Illinois Best Player Bet: Pat Bryant Any Time Touchdown +150

Illinois has shown signs of a very explosive offense through the start of the season. And while they could go toe-to-toe with Nebraska, there’s a good chance the team gets behind in the game script and has to air the ball out to put up points quickly. This spells good news for Pat Bryant, who leads the Fighting Illini in receiving yards and touchdowns up to this point.

Nebraska Best Player Bet: Dante Dowdell Any Time Touchdown +125

Nebraska has as good a passing offense as any team in the nation. With opposing defenses having to account for Raiola’s giant arm, the Cornhuskers can get the rushing attack going. And through the first three games, Dante Dowdell has shown he can be a quality option out of the backfield. Averaging 5.9 yards per carry and three touchdowns on the year, the shifty running back could be in store for a big game.
