No. 1 Texas vs. No. 18 Oklahoma Week 7 Prediction | College Football Picks Today, Best Bets

The Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma Sooners are set to clash over the weekend in one of the biggest rivalry games of the year. The bad blood of the Red River Rivalry, mixed with each team’s desire to compete for a National Championship, makes for a great matchup.

Texas vs. Oklahoma

  • Location: The Cotton Bowl (Dallas, Texas) | Time: 3:30 PM ET
  • Where to Watch: ABC/ESPN+
  • Spread: Texas -14.5, Moneyline: Texas -650, Total: 49.5

Texas vs. Oklahoma Best Bet: Texas -14.5

The Longhorns not only enter this matchup as the favorite to win but Texas is considered a top contender for the National Championship. Texas is a well-rounded team with an explosive offense and a dominant defense. Steve Sarkisian’s squad has won by at least three touchdowns in each of the team’s first five games. That won’t change on Saturday.

Texas vs. Oklahoma Best Total Bet: Over 49.5

There’s a high chance that Texas will jump out of the gate and get a firm lead ahead of the Sooners. With Oklahoma likely behind in the game script, they’ll be passing the ball a lot. As a result, a couple of fourth-quarter touchdowns from Oklahoma could help hit the over. A final score of 38-17 would not only cover the spread but hit the over on the 49.5 set total.

Texas Best Player Bet: Isaiah Bond Any Time Touchdown +140

Isaiah Bond transferred to Texas from Alabama over the offseason and immediately became a reliable Longhorn playmaker. The speedster is up to 364 receiving yards and three touchdowns on the season. Before Quinn Ewers suffered his injury, Bond’s chemistry with the quarterback looked top-notch. Now, with the starter set to return, a big day for the wide receiver could be in store.

Oklahoma Best Player Bet: Michael Hawkins Jr. Any Time Touchdown +250

Michael Hawkins Jr. took over as the team’s starting quarterback in the team’s loss to Tennessee. The dual-threat QB gives the Sooners more versatility in the offensive game and his threat as a runner makes the Oklahoma offense tough to defend. Against the Longhorns’ stacked secondary, it may be a game where Brent Venables looks to get his mobile quarterback on the move more to try and make something happen. That said, a touchdown for Hawkins could be in play in Saturday’s battle.
