After a slow start to the year, the Oregon Ducks are back to resembling one of the most dominant teams in the sport. The Ducks took down Ohio State in Week 7, marking their biggest signature win of the year.

3. Penn State Nittany Lions (6-0)

The Penn State Nittany Lions continue to fly under the radar. With some tough tests on the horizon, we're going to learn a lot about this program in October. A comeback win against USC on the road certainly didn't hurt their case.

4. Miami Hurricanes (6-0)

The Miami Hurricanes have nearly slipped up multiple times this season. They need to play with more urgency if we're going to rank them higher on this list.

It's been very evident that the Iowa Cyclones have one of the top defenses in the country through Week 7. Is it sustainable for a full season?

6. Indiana Hoosiers (6-0)

One of the surprise teams this season resides in Indiana. The Hoosiers have continued to perform well above expectations on both sides of the football.

7. BYU Cougars (6-0)

The BYU Cougars haven't been perfect on offense, but they sure have on defense. Winning the Big 12 is certainly within the realm of possibility.

8. Pittsburgh Panthers (6-0)

If the Pittsburgh Panthers offense continues to roll like this, there's reason to be bullish about this group. I'm not sold on them defensively, but they've posted a 6-0 record for a reason.

Defense remains the calling card for Army. This team works hard and has some real talent. It will be interesting to see how they fair in the back half of this season.

The level of competition will always be a concern, but it's easy to like what we've seen from Navy on both sides of the football.

It's not difficult to envision the Liberty Flames sneaking into the College Football Playoff this season. The path is there, and they've yet to stumble.
