When two top-10 teams meet and the home underdog is getting double digits, the 10.5-point spread can feel high. Notre Dame can still win without covering, especially in a difficult road environment. Lexington was described as electric last Saturday night, reinforcing the potential value of home underdogs. Nebraska was another reminder that the favorite does not need to lose for the underdog to cover.
Alabama’s road game at Tennessee has attracted significant attention following the Tide’s home loss to Georgia. Alabama is laying more than a touchdown in Knoxville, with 83% of the money and 67% of the master money backing the Tide. However, the master money has been placed strategically on Alabama at -6.5 or -7 and Tennessee at +8, leaving the line around 7.5.
Atlanta has moved from +3 to +1 against Chicago, with more than 90% of the money on Atlanta in a high-volume game. Bettors also teased Atlanta above seven and as high as 8.5 while the line moved through +3 and +2.5.
In college action, Toledo moved from -4 to -6.5 against East Michigan behind substantial master action. James Madison moved from -11 to -12 with similarly heavy support after struggling to get home last week. Texas State also moved from -10 to -14, attracting 75% of the overall money and 96% of the master money.
In baseball, a Milwaukee World Series victory would be a favorable result. The Yankees and Dodgers were the primary losing outcomes entering the playoffs, while Milwaukee was recommended at the series price before the series began.
During a flight delay at the Denver airport, the betting split showed roughly 80% of the money on the Dodgers, creating a strong need for Milwaukee. On the plane, a nervous Dodgers fan revealed an LA Dodgers tattoo and said he had supported the team his whole life.
