Commanders vs Bucs Wild Card Predictions | NFL Playoff Picks Today, Best Bets

We set the table for one of the more intriguing matchups of Wild Card Weekend in the NFL as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Washington Commanders on Sunday Night Football. With two high-flying offenses in what should be great weather in Tampa, we could be in for an exciting showdown in the NFC.

We preview this intriguing matchup on Sunday night with a handful of bets we will be backing.

Commanders vs Buccaneers: Where to Watch and Odds

  • Location: Raymond James Stadium (Tampa Bay, Florida) | Time: 8:00 PM ET
  • Where to Watch: NBC | Where to Stream: Peacock
  • Spread: Buccaneers -3 | Moneyline: Buccaneers -162 | Total: 50.5

Commanders vs Buccaneers Best Spread Bet: Bucs -3

Tampa Bay thrashed this secondary when these two teams met to kick off the regular season in Week 1. Baker Mayfield was flat-out dominant, completing 24 of 30 passes for 289 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions. While Jayden Daniels and this Washington offense are equally lethal, we’ll put our faith in the Buccaneers defense when it comes to getting timely stops or turnovers. The only pushback here will be if the Bucs struggle to limit Daniels from beating them with his legs. He posted his second-highest rushing yards total of the year in that Week 1 defeat with 88 yards while finding paydirt twice. Allowing him to run all over the field a second time may prove costly on numerous drives.

Commanders vs Buccaneers Best Total Bet: Over 50.5

These two teams have been glued to the over for the majority of the regular season, and we just don’t see that changing here. Tampa Bay is 12-5 to the over on the year, while Washington isn’t far behind at 11-6. It’s a tall number to tackle, but both offenses are simply too dynamic to be contained for a full 60 minutes. Add in that we should be getting 60 degrees and clear skies at kickoff, and the stage feels perfectly set for this to become a shootout.

Commanders Top Player Prop: Olamide Zaccheaus Over 40.5 Receiving Yards

A major question within this offense throughout the season has been who will emerge as the WR2 behind Terry McLaurin. Olamide Zaccheaus has answered that call in recent weeks with 206 receiving yards and three touchdowns over their past three games. He has gotten 22 targets combined in those games, a stark contrast to the 15 he earned in the seven games prior. It’s clear that Jayden Daniels has found some trust and chemistry with the veteran late in the season, which gives us some value towards his over at this number.

Buccaneers Top Player Prop: Jalen McMillan Over 54.5 Receiving Yards

With Marshon Lattimore now in Washington, he and Mike Evans will renew their storied rivalry on Sunday night. It means that, at times, it will be up to other pass-catchers to step up for the Buccaneers if they want to succeed on offense. Rookie Jalen McMillan has done just that over the past five weeks by hauling in 316 receiving yards and a league-best seven receiving touchdowns in that span. He has become a favorite of Mayfield’s, especially following the season-ending injury to Chris Godwin, and we don’t expect that to change here. Back the talented rookie to go over his receiving yards prop.
