Giants vs Cowboys Thanksgiving: NFL Anytime Touchdown Best Bets

We have a classic NFC East rivalry in store on Thursday afternoon, as the Dallas Cowboys will play host to the New York Giants. Even though both teams are amidst a disastrous season, there is still value to be had in the touchdown market.
Value in Rico Dowdle (-105)?
At -105, I don’t know how anyone could bet on Rico Dowdle to score on Thanksgiving. Sure, I may have just jinxed him, making him scoring the first touchdown a lock at +400. Still, this makes sense. This bet puts faith in the Giants’ run defense being dreadful, which they can be. After being throttled on Sunday, I expect them to avoid being embarrassed on the NFL’s biggest stage. There is still some pride on that defensive line! Dowdle hasn’t rushed for a touchdown this season but has three receiving touchdowns. The Cowboys’ quarterback play doesn’t warrant adding extra value to his touchdown price. At -105, it feels like we’re getting robbed. If this were around +150, it would be a different story.
Must-Bet: Tyrone Tracy Jr. (+165)
Even though we’re looking to fade the Cowboys’ RB1 completely, that’s not the case for Tyrone Tracy Jr., one of our favorite touchdown bets of the day. Even though we’re looking for the Giants defensive line to show up on the road after being trounced last week, it’s harder being the home team on Thanksgiving Day. You have all the hype and chaos surrounding that, and the Cowboys are on an emotional high after beating the Washington Commanders on the road last week as double-digit underdogs. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Cowboys look flat, and Tracy could expose that. At +165, he has three rushing touchdowns across the past six weeks, and he could be in for a 20-carry day if things break his way. At +1200, I also recommend backing him to score twice.

Can CeeDee Lamb (+180) Find the Endzone?
CeeDee Lamb has averaged nearly nine receptions and 13 targets per game across the last six weeks and only has two touchdowns to show for it. Cooper Rush has been unable to throw him a touchdown. On the bright side, that means he’s due! Lamb can only have so many double-digit target games before finding the endzone. Rush showed last week that he can, at least, get the ball into the endzone by throwing two touchdowns. However, none were to Lamb. I respect the Giants’ run defense more than their pass defense. At +180, there will be enough volume through the air to warrant a wager here.
Will the Giants Find Malik Nabers (+230)?
We still don’t know who the Giants’ quarterback on Thursday will be. Whether it’s Tommy DeVito or Drew Lock, I don’t have faith in either getting the ball to the receivers in the endzone. Malik Nabers made a big postgame stink on Sunday about not getting the ball enough, and he can continue to complain because nothing will change. They can’t get him the ball, and while an outsider might not understand why DeVito is playing, it shows what the Giants think of Lock. I would rather back Tracy Jr. at +165 than Nabers at +230, so I’d do my best to stay away from the WR1.
Longshot Potential
Jalen Tolbert (+360) and Luke Schoonmaker (+370) are worth considering as potential longshots on the Cowboys side. Both caught touchdowns from Rush last week. Given his dynamic playmaking ability, I have to throw KaVontae Turpin (+650) out there. On the Giants’ side, I don’t want any part of any of their receivers, even as longshot bets. Still, I’d consider throw in a small wager on DeVito (+490) to find the endzone with his legs. You already know Tommy Cutlets wants to throw up his hand gesture on national television, and after running seven times last week, there could be enough potential volume on the ground to find value in a bet.
