NFL Preseason Week 3: Saturday Night’s Top Betting Picks

We are just weeks away from the start of the 2025 NFL season. Between now and September 4, teams will be gearing up and making roster adjustments in preparation for the beginning of the regular season. That leaves bettors with ample betting opportunities as we dig into three weeks of preseason action.

These are our favorite betting picks for Preseason Week 3 action on Saturday night!

The Los Angeles Chargers and San Francisco 49ers conclude the preseason with a Saturday night tilt at Levi’s Stadium. The betting market is shifting towards the Niners, but that appears to be misplaced confidence.

San Francisco has relied on Mac Jones to lead the charge, but the quarterback has been ruled out of Week 3’s action. That means that Carter Bradley will likely see most of the snaps in the final regular-season tune-up. Bradley has been unimpressive in two preseason games, completing just 14-of-27 passes for 128 yards and an interception.

The Chargers broke out in the Hall of Fame game, scoring 34 points against the Lions. They followed that up with 27 points in Preseason Week 1 and 22 last time out. With LA’s defense only giving up 42 points across that three-game sample, there’s no reason to believe that San Francisco will have much luck in gaining any offensive traction.

In this intra-state battle, the Chargers have a distinct advantage over their NFC foes. The betting market is low on Los Angeles, but we’re laying the points with the road chalk in this one.

Where to Watch Buffalo Bills vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Clearly, the Buffalo Bills aren’t taking the preseason too seriously. Through the first two weeks of the preseason, the Bills stand at 0-2 and are at a clear disadvantage versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Buffalo can’t get anything going on offense. Granted, they put up 25 points in the preseason opener, but they followed that up by getting shut out last week. As bad as that was, the Bills’ offensive production looks worse. The Super Bowl contenders put up a paltry 180 yards while giving up 528.

In the same breath, the Bucs are already in mid-season form. Tampa Bay easily escaped Week 1’s tilt versus the Titans, winning 29-7 while out-gaining their opponents 348 yards to 201. The Buccaneers were victorious again last week, besting the Steelers 17-14.

The Bills won’t risk putting their starters in for the preseason finale. Assuredly, that shifts the betting odds in Tampa Bay’s favor. There’s no reason to believe the Bucs should be underdogs in this one, and everyone should line up to get a piece of them on the moneyline.
