NFL Preseason Week 3: Best Player Prop Bets Today (8/22)

The final week of the NFL‘s preseason continues tonight with four games on tap.

Unsurprisingly, player props are limited this late into the exhibition schedule, but I’ve managed to find two standout options.

1. KC Patrick Mahomes to Throw a TD Pass on his First Offensive Drive (+310) vs. Chicago Bears

After sitting out last week’s preseason matchup, Mahomes and the rest of Kansas City’s starters are expected to see the field. The three-time Super Bowl champ logged just three snaps in the opener against Arizona but still managed to toss a one-yard touchdown. I think the offense gets a little more run in this final tune-up, giving Mahomes an excellent opportunity to strike early.

2. CHI Olamide Zaccheaus to Score a TD on his 1st Offensive Drive (+2700) @ Kansas City Chiefs

My second prop involves the other side of this Bears-Chiefs matchup, where Chicago head coach Ben Johnson will also give his starters some more work. Wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus made noise last week, hauling in a 36-yard opening-drive strike from quarterback Caleb Williams. Reports out of camp suggest Zaccheaus has earned Williams’s trust as he fends off rookie Luther Burden III for WR3 duties. Don’t be surprised if Williams looks Zaccheaus’s way again, and at these odds, the payoff could be huge.
