NFL SGP: +1350 Atlanta Falcons vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Week 2 of the NFL season wraps up tonight in what should be a very entertaining Monday Night Football battle. The Philadelphia Eagles are set to host the Atlanta Falcons, prompting us to work up an ultimate same-game parlay for the action.

Valued at +1350, let’s ride!

Check out SportsGrid’s NFL game picks and NFL Props Picks all Season Long.

Leg 1: Eagles ML

Fun fact: tonight will mark the third straight season where the Eagles will have their home opener in Week 2 against a Kirk Cousins-led team. The past two seasons were both wins for the home team, so tonight, we won’t expect anything different. The Eagles come into tonight well rested after not playing since last Friday and will have the juice behind them from the crowd as Saquon Barkley makes his home debut, Jason Kelce is in the house with the broadcast, and Nick Foles officially retires as an Eagle. It will be a rocking atmosphere for the Falcons to deal with after they looked rather lifeless against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week. We won’t expect the Falcons to come into South Philly and do anything special. Eagles ML it is.

Legs 2, 3, & 4: Saquon Barkley Anytime TD, 60+ Rushing Yards, & 2+ Receptions

Can we get enough of Saquon Barkley tonight? In Week 1, he looked like the best running back in all of football as he combined for three touchdowns, rushed 24 times for 109 yards, and made two receptions. You know he will find the endzone in his home opener, and if that’s the case, we’ll also take him to rush for at least 60 yards, as Najee Harris was able to run all over the Falcons last week. If Harris can do it, you better bet we expect Saquon to. Even though Saquon only made two receptions last week, giving us very little wiggle room here, we expect AJ Brown’s absence to be worth at least a few extra targets Saquon’s way.

Leg 5: DeVonta Smith 6+ Receptions

DeVonta Smith may be one of the league’s most underrated wide receivers, and with AJ Brown sidelined tonight and potentially a few more weeks, Smith has every opportunity to prove he can be a number-one wide receiver in any offense. Last week, DeVonta led the team in receptions with seven, and now Brown leaves ten targets up for grabs, given his absence. DeVonta could see 10-12 targets tonight, so we’ll count on him to get us six receptions in what should be a high-scoring game.

Leg 6: Jahan Dotson 2+ Receptions

The Eagles traded a third-round pick for Jahan Dotson in late August for this scenario where one of their top two wide receivers goes down, so they better see a payoff tonight. After not making any noise last week, we’re counting on Dotson to make two catches as the WR2. That shouldn’t be too much to ask!

Leg 7: Jalen Hurts 25+ Rushing Yards

Jalen Hurts attempted 13 rushes and totaled just 33 yards in Week 1, but looking at the Falcons’ Week 1 opponent, Justin Fields rushed 14 times for 57 yards. It’s fair to expect Hurts to rush potentially ten times tonight, so I believe he should be able to break a run or two to help aid us to the 25-yard mark.

Leg 8: Kyle Pitts 3+ Receptions

We’ll go a little untraditional with our final pick tonight to close our parlay. We’ll look for Kyle Pitts to give us at least three receptions. He accomplished this last week, but he’s actually a Philadelphia native, and tonight will mark his first game back home. This has been mentioned in Falcons circles all week, so I struggle to see a scenario where he’s non-existent with all his family and friends in attendance. Who doesn’t love a homecoming?
