The New Orleans Saints travel to Missouri for a matchup with the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes and his squad look to continue rolling to 5-0, but NOLA may have other plans. Here’s what you need to know ahead of kickoff.
Saints vs. Chiefs
Location: Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City, Missouri) | Time: 8:15 PM ET | Where to Watch: ESPN
Spread: Chiefs -5.5, Moneyline: Chiefs -240, Total: 43.5
Saints vs. Chiefs Best Bet: Saints ML +200
The Saints enter as underdogs against the undefeated Chiefs, and understandably so. However, New Orleans has proved they’re no slouch through the start of the season. NOLA went into AT&T stadium and steamrolled the Dallas Cowboys on their home field. Meanwhile, the Chiefs enter this matchup banged up as the injuries continue to pile on. Not to mention, Kansas City always seems to drop a game they have no business losing. A Saints win may be in store on Monday night Primetime.
Saints vs. Chiefs Best Total Bet: Over 42.5
New Orleans enters this matchup averaging 31.8 points per game, while the Chiefs have been mid this far (15th in the NFL), averaging 23 points per game. That said, with both teams’ ability to score in a hurry, this game could easily exceed the 42.5 total. A final score of 30-24 is in the cards.
Saints Best Player Bet: Chris Olave Any Time Touchdown +230
Chris Olave has been the top threat in the Saints offense to start the season. The Ohio State product is up to 265 receiving yards and one touchdown on the year. With the targets Olave draws, he could be in line for a huge game when his team needs it the most.
Chiefs Best Player Bet: Xavier Worthy Any Time Touchdown +175
After an injury to the Chiefs top receiving option Rashee Rice, rookie sensation Xavier Worthy is set to step up in a bigger role on the offense. The speedster already has a growing connection with Mahomes and with the offense poised to rely on him more, the first-round pick will get a lot of opportunities on Monday night. Worthy’s ability to break for a score poses him as a threat to find the end zone on any given touch, and with more opportunties coming his way, his odds only improve.
