Bears vs. Falcons Preview: Williams-Penix Shootout

Segment Spotlight: Quick Hits From Outspoken With Dan Sileo

Chicago-Atlanta Matchup Could Put Michael Pennox to the Test

Chicago heads to Atlanta as a 1.5-point favorite after getting blown out by the Packers at Lambeau. Atlanta has been inconsistent and is still trying to find stability at quarterback, although Pennox has looked promising with Kevin Stefanski.

One major takeaway comes from last week’s betting line. The Bears went to Green Bay with Tyson Bajian as 1.5-point favorites, a line that may have overestimated Bajian or underestimated Green Bay.

The key question in this matchup is how Pennox performs if Atlanta falls behind and he has to throw 35 or 40 times. He could produce big numbers, but he must avoid turnovers and finish drives with touchdowns.

Pennox has provided Atlanta with a lift, although he has also benefited from the strong backfield play of Bejon Robinson and Bryan Robinson. If the Bears reach 30 points with Caleb, Pennox may have to throw Atlanta out of trouble and match that production.

With the total set at 51.5, this could become a high-scoring game and a potential opportunity to consider Michael Pennox props.
