Browns Backers Target the Money Line Against Tyler Huntley
Both hosts selected the Cleveland Browns as their big dog of the week, backing the team on the money line while also expressing confidence in the spread.
Craig Mish said he generally is not a big money-line bettor and believes anyone taking an underdog getting only 3.5 or 4.5 points must think that team can win. He questioned Tyler Huntley’s standing as a serviceable backup to Lamar Jackson, arguing that the drop-off is massive and placing Huntley among the bottom 15 backup quarterbacks in the league.
Along with taking the Browns on the money line, Mish strongly recommended Cleveland at plus 3.5.
Joe agreed with the pick. He had already backed Cleveland when the spread was 5.5 points, but with the line dropping to three, he chose the Browns at plus 190 on the money line.
Joe believes people are overrating Cleveland’s road loss last week. He said the Browns have historically played this opponent tightly and do not have much pressure on them. With the Bengals dropping games, Lamar Jackson missing time again and the Steelers looking far from unbeatable, he sees a major opportunity for Cleveland.
Joe also questioned whether Huntley could lead his team to a second consecutive road victory, calling that outcome a tough sell.
