Cowboys Beat Eagles as Dak Prescott Backs Schottenheimer

Segment Spotlight: Quick Hits From Outspoken With Dan Sileo

Cowboys Secure a Needed Road Win as Dak Prescott Backs Brian Schottenheimer

The Dallas Cowboys showed up when they needed to, defeating the Eagles in a key NFC East matchup. The Cowboys entered the game needing a win against a wounded rival and delivered on the road.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer credited his players for a strong second half, saying their performance had nothing to do with desperation. He also praised the offense’s balance.

Dak Prescott called it a massive division win in a hostile environment. After a back-and-forth first half, he said the defense settled in during the second half while the offense scored on most of its drives. Prescott described the result as a complementary win and said the Cowboys must continue playing with that same balance.

Prescott also defended Schottenheimer amid questions about his coaching and play-calling. He described the coach as hungry and angry about the criticism, adding that the team supports him. Prescott said Schottenheimer takes great pride in his job and his team, but emphasized that the players must execute on Sundays.

Even after the victory, the Cowboys are 3-4, and the host cautioned against getting carried away with one result. He compared following the team to watching an episode of the Kardashians because of the constant drama surrounding it.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni focused his postgame comments on consistency, improvement and resilience. He reflected on the 2021 season, saying the way the Eagles finished that year helped propel them forward. He also spoke about remaining grateful, continuing to fight through difficult circumstances and using the final 10 games as opportunities to improve.

The host dismissed Sirianni’s response as a “word salad,” sarcastically comparing him to Confucius. He also sharply criticized the Eagles’ defense following the loss.
