Cowboys’ Fifth Straight Loss to Cardinals Raises Questions About Coaching

The Cowboys missed an opportunity to take control of the NFC East, falling to the Arizona Cardinals for their fifth straight loss in the matchup. Gardner Minshew came in as a replacement and threw three touchdown passes.

Arizona’s final drive was especially troubling, as Minshew led the offense down the field in about a minute. The performance reflected poorly on everything the Cowboys are trying to build.

Brian Schottenheimer’s seat appears to be getting hotter. Jerry Jones may not blame him for all the team’s issues, and the offense did score 30 points, but the responsibility eventually returns to the coaching staff. The personnel should be producing better results, yet the Cowboys have remained inconsistent.
