Ravens and Jaguars Backed in Best Bets of the Week
The first best bet is Baltimore plus three at minus 104 against Buffalo. Although some lines offer 3.5 points, the pick for the show is the Ravens plus three. Lamar Jackson is back and is considered the best quarterback in the National Football League, ahead of Josh Allen. The Ravens are also picked to beat the Bills outright.
The over in the Ravens-Bills game was another favored option, but the second pick comes from a different matchup: Jacksonville at home. The Jaguars were available at 9.5 points before the line moved to 10.5, but there is still confidence in the bet. For those hesitant to take a double-digit spread, the Jaguars’ team total offers another approach.
Jacksonville is coming off a bye and needs this divisional game to continue pushing forward. Its defense has been strong against the run, which could be particularly important against Jonathan Taylor. Indianapolis has also traded away offensive line pieces, while the Jaguars’ defense has done a good job of getting after the quarterback.
That creates a difficult situation for Daniel Jones, who does not have many options. Tyler Warren is playing, but his health remains a question. Josh Allens has not done anything, while Alec Pierce has spent most of the year on injured reserve.
The Colts’ competitiveness last week was viewed less as a positive sign for Indianapolis and more as an indictment of the Vikings’ offense. For that reason, the expectation is that the Colts will struggle to get back into this game against Jacksonville.
