Texans and Jets Losses Cut Circus Survivor Field to Under 700 Entries
The Texans and Jets losses eliminated nearly half of the remaining Circus Survivor field. The Vikings, the most popular pick, won, but the Texans were the second-most popular selection and the Jets were third.
Fewer than 700 entries now remain in the $25 million contest. I would have taken the Texans if my entry were still alive, and I thought they were an absolute lock. Their loss also eliminated half of the Grandisimo field, a contest with a $100,000 entry fee.
Another 47 Circus Survivor entries are riding on the Cowboys against the Eagles tonight. I would not be overly confident about being in a good position with Dallas.
When the field reaches about 500 entries, participants typically begin wheeling and dealing by selling pieces of their entries and evaluating which teams remain available to them. That process normally begins in November around Thanksgiving, but this year it is happening before Halloween.
