Heisman Trophy Odds Power Rankings Following Week 5

10. Jayden Daniels +3500 (Last week: +1600)
LSU Tigers signal-caller Jayden Daniels has continued to impress this season. There's a lot to like about his game, and it's interesting to note that he saw his odds plummet despite throwing for four touchdowns and 414 yards in a recent loss. Daniels saw his odds drop from +1600 to +3500.
1. Caleb Williams +170 (Last week +380)
After taking home the Heisman trophy last season, USC Trojans signal-caller Caleb Williams is looking to repeat in 2023. Williams had all eyes on him against Colorado and delivered, throwing for 403 yards and six touchdowns. With that, Williams saw his Heisman odds bet down from +380 to +170.
2. Michael Penix Jr. +400 (Last week: +350)
The buzz around Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. has continued to grow, and he's lived up to the hype. Penix Jr. didn't manage to find the endzone with his arm against Arizona, but he still threw for 363 yards. With a close game against Arizona, Penix Jr.'s Heisman odds took a slight hit from +350 to +400.
3. (Tie) Quinn Ewers +900 (Last week: +500)
Quinn Ewers has shown up in big spots for Texas. Ewers and the Longhorns knocked off another ranked opponent last weekend, the Kansas Jayhawks. Ewers threw for 325 yards and a touchdown in the win but still saw his Heisman odds drop from +500 to +900.
3. (Tie) Bo Nix +900 (Last week: +1000)
In his second season with the Oregon Ducks, quarterback Bo Nix has put on a show. Nix threw for 290 yards and four touchdown passes in the Ducks' recent victory over Stanford. With another big week in the rearview mirror, Nix saw his Heisman odds rise from +1000 to +900.
5. (Tie) Jordan Travis +1600 (Last week: +1200)
Jordan Travis and the Florida State Seminoles continued to look the part of a national title contender. Travis is a big part of that equation and is set to return to the field after a bye week. During the Seminoles off week, Travis saw his odds drop from +1200 to +1600.
5. (Tie) Dillon Gabriel +1600 (Last week: +2200)
Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Dillon Gabriel has quietly continued to put up big offensive numbers. Gabriel threw for 366 yards and three touchdowns in the Sooners blowout win over Iowa State. With that, Gabriel saw his Heisman odds rise from +2200 to +1600.
7. (Tie) Tyler Van Dyke +3000 (Last week: +3000)
One team to watch has been the Miami Hurricanes, who're led by quarterback Tyler Van Dyke. The buzz is starting to be real behind Van Dyke, and he's continued to boast +3000 odds over the last week.
7. (Tie) Cameron Ward +3000 (Last week: Unranked in Top Ten)
A new entrant inside the top ten this week is Washington State Cougars quarterback Cameron Ward. Ward has continued to put up big numbers for the Cougars, which now has him sitting in a tie with the seventh-shortest odds at +3000.
9. J.J. McCarthy +3300 (Last week: Unranked in Top Ten)
We've still been waiting for Michigan's offense to pop, but J.J. McCarthy is still finding his way back into the Heisman picture. McCarthy hasn't needed to use his arm a lot, but he still holds +3300 odds to win the Heisman trophy.
