First, let's get started with a story that is groundbreaking in the industry because we've had folks from the American Gaming Association on our show before, and I wonder what the relationship has to be now with FanDuel, DraftKings, and the AGA. There is a report this morning saying. That DraftKings and FanDuel have left the American Gaming Association. Why? Because as of right now, both sports betting companies are headed toward using the prediction market industry in order to further their business. And as of right now, the AGA does not align with their thoughts on these prediction markets being legal in places that sports betting is not legal. An AGA spokesperson said in a discussion with DraftKings and FanDuel, the American Gaming Association has accepted their request to relinquish their membership effective immediately. We wish them the best and expect to maintain close ties in our mission to promote and protect legal regulated gambling. So if you're wondering where the AGA stands on prediction markets, it doesn't take a genius to know they don't seem to be for it, at least in these markets where sports betting is. Not legal. This has been the story of the year with, uh, these prediction markets expanding like CalSci, Crypto.com, Robin Hood, etc. All right, now let's get to the latest in the National Football League. Shoulder Sanders made his debut in the NFL on Sunday while he was doing it, someone broke into his house. These are burglaries going on all across the country. Seems like they're targeting players that they know that they're playing on the road or, you know, not at home, and Sanders's house was broken into. Luca's house was broken into, Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomemes, Travis Kelsey. Hopefully they have a, you know, uh Arlo or Ring where they can get the video of that stuff. All right, uh, could've skipped Monday Night Football, honestly, uh, I was actually watching, uh, the Heat Knicks game last night as opposed to this game, which tells you where my head is at as far as these primetime games on Monday Night Football. I mean, I understand you gotta put the Cowboys on to get ratings, but who was watching this in the 4th quarter, 33 to 16, and by the way, the game was not even that close. Dallas's Dak Pres got through 4 touchdown passes. CD Lamb did not play in the first quarter, neither did George Pickens. Allegedly some stuff happened in Vegas, but we'll let it stay in Vegas. 33, 7, 16, the final. Raiders season has been long over with. This has been a brutal year for them. Dallas staying alive. So guess what? If the Cowboys win this week, probably headed into Thanksgiving with it meaning something for the Cowboys' annual tradition coming up for all of us here. Here's Dak Prescott on, uh, losing their last game, having the bye week, and rebounding last night. Yeah, but I mean, obviously a tough, tough, hard 12 days and Um, you know, through the bye week, those first, as I mentioned to you on the, the earlier in the week, those first few days, right, not being with the guys, uh, was harder than anything, but the last 67, you know, being together, working together, um, having conversations, you know, healing, shining a light on who Marshaw was, uh, then obviously coming out here tonight, um, and playing with the style that he played with the intensity, um, the efforts, finish, and, uh, super proud of the guys. Whirlwind of a week great one to to to cap off with a win right here and uh. They have a really good offense and they do a nice job with it um obviously uh you know Pigeons was really he was really a problem for us and and it wasn't just when he caught it it was just after after catch stuff that really uh was was impressive, uh, that he was able to run through us like that, um, and just surprised that that we weren't able to be uh because we knew he was a good player we, we, we went in to defend him, uh, we rolled to him, we, we covered him, we doubled him a couple times and. And he still came through, so, uh, he had a heck of a night and um I you know I don't even know Dack's numbers, but he must have had a pretty good night himself 2533, so he was on it so very difficult night for us sorry about it. Yeah. Raiders have not played good football. Pete Carroll got to wonder if he'll even be back next year, honestly. All right, well, if your fantasy football draft involved the first overall pick, then you probably took Jamar Chase to the Cincinnati Bengals. Joe Burrow got hurt early in the year. It hasn't been a great year for him. But you never would have expected that Chase would miss a game because he spit on another player. The National Football League right now says that Chase is suspended for one game, saw video evidence enough to do it. Chase says he didn't, and he is appealing it. We'll find out what happens later in the week. If he has to actually sit out a game or not, here is, uh, Zach Taylor, the head coach of the Bengals standing by his player. Well, first of all, um, I've always been impressed with how Jim Mars handled himself because he, he is in a lot of these situations where he's got a target as a as a top player. um, he gets a lot of respect that way and so guys try to do a lot of things to, to get his attention and. Get him off his game and I've always thought it was unbelievable how he's handled himself in some really high pressure emotional decisions. Obviously what happened is crossing the line we can't have that and I know he'll own up to that, um, but beyond that I've, I've always sat up here and praised Jamar because he's, he's one of the best leaders we've got the way he goes about everything. He plays with the tone of emotion. He plays with a ton of leadership. Our guys respond to that and, and I've always appreciated how he's handled himself. Meanwhile, Abdul Carter of the Giants, their young rookie denies a report that he slept through a team walk through. He said that he was getting recovery and he just has half a sack this season. Hasn't been a great year for their rookie. Meanwhile, Mike Kafka, he is the interim coach of the Giants looking forward to getting back Jackson Dart this week. He said that there's a good chance Dart will clear concussion protocol. Jackson, you know, going through the whole draft process with him and understand what kind of player he is. He's an aggressive player and that's what we love about him. But, um, obviously, you know, you want to show him some examples that he can learn from. I think he's going through that now. Um, I think he'll, he'll continue to, to grow, to grow from those things, but at the end of the day, you know, he is, he is a competitor, and that's why we love this guy. And, um, and I think he'll, he'll continue to learn and grow, but you don't want to put a player like that in a box. Obviously, you want to give him some, some show the examples that he can improve on, and I think he'll take that to the bank. Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers will be looking for a new kicker as Eddie Pinheiro has a hamstring strain that he suffered this past week against the Cardinals. He's gonna miss some time. There's some reports out there stating that the 49ers could bring in Justin Tucker, who of course played many years with the Ravens and then was suspended for the first several games of this year. Apparently that's not going to happen. Meanwhile, that big buyout for James Franklin coming from Penn State is no more because he took a new job, and that basically means he only gets about $10 million in the buyout as opposed to $40. So he made a whole big to do. About nothing. Franklin looks like he's the next head coach for Virginia Tech. 128 wins over 15 seasons and apparently the salary is really good. So again, in these clauses that they give the coaches, it states that if you take another job, you don't get the whole buyout. So Franklin won't. Meanwhile, Victor Wembayyama, one of the greatest players that we've seen this season put on a jersey in the NBA this season. Not gonna be playing for a long time this season. He has a left calf strain and is gonna be sidelined for a few weeks. We'll see how far this goes into the end of the year. He's been obviously the best player in the league this year and potential MVP. All right, last night, speaking of MVPs, Nikole Jokic 36 points, 18 rebounds, and 14 assists, but the Nuggets lose to the Chicago Bills 130 to 127. Billy Donovan talking about the short turnaround for his team and picking up the win. Well, I mean, we talked about it after the game last night that you know we were gonna need everybody and that there were some guys that didn't get an opportunity to play and I think sometimes, you know, after a tough loss like that's double overtime you're catching a flight and you're coming in you to back to back. I think you try to give those guys a heads up, you know what what you're thinking and you know you never know how the starters, the guys that absorbed the amount of minutes they absorbed in, in, in Utah, how they'll come out and respond, you know, I thought they with the altitude handled themselves pretty well, but it's a tough back to back when you're. Having to fly and come in and then you have the altitude dealing with and the number of minutes in double overtime loss so I had just made that point to those guys after the game that everybody needed to be ready. Heat versus Knicks last night. Miami wins 115, 113. Knicks missed a shot at the end of the game, had a chance to win. Cavs beat the Bucks 118 to 106. Ganiss injured undergoing an MRI with a groin issue, and also the 76ers outscored the Clippers by 12 in the fourth quarter, 110 to 108. In addition, ESPN says Aaron Rodgers fractured left wrist uncertain for this weekend. We'll be right back. Welcome back to Newswire here on Sports Grid. ESPN is reporting that Aaron Rodgers will miss practice today for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has a fracture in his left wrist. Uh, also Jaylen Warren, who missed some time, uh, not on the practice field, but he is expected to play no word on Rodgers as we move forward here in the National Football League and any other injury updates we get, we'll give it to you throughout the day. Uh, big sports betting news today. The American Gaming Association. And FanDuel and DraftKings apparently not on the same page as of right now, FanDuel, DraftKings leaving the American Gaming Association mutual agreement here, both sports betting companies are basing this on the idea that these companies want to join. The prediction markets business naturally they're stating that prediction markets are not sports betting, but they're gonna be operating in places where sports betting is illegal and therefore the AGA feels they shouldn't be part of the American Gaming Association. A spokesperson said that in discussion with FanDuel and DraftKings, the AGA has accepted their request to relinquish. Their membership effective immediately. We wish them the best. We want to maintain close ties in our mission to promote legal and regulated gambling, but with prediction markets on the way for FanDuel and DraftKings just like they are for a lot of the other companies across the country, you may have heard, are partnering up or at least joining the prediction market business, there is some gray area as to whether or not. Sports betting and prediction markets are indeed the same. AGA certainly seems to feel like they are. All right, now let's get to the latest in the National Basketball Association from last night. It was a really big win for the Chicago Bulls. Nikole Okic did his triple-double thing as he always does, 36 points, 18 rebounds, 14 assists, but the Bulls win by 3 over the Denver. Nuggets, by the way, Chicago led this game by as many as 18 points, but with the Bulls on a back to back, they needed everybody to really come through, says Billy Donovan, and they did. Um, it doesn't have to go perfect. It never will go perfect. It never will just be exactly how you, you want it to go, um, and then ultimately you just have to figure out as a as a group of competitors, you know, how to put your fingerprints, uh, on a game and, um, and then come out with it, uh. Uh, with big plays, you know, to secure, uh, a W, um, and we made some big plays, you know, going down the stretch, uh. Um, and, you know, Kel, uh, was very impactful in those last, uh, you know, several minutes, uh, you know, and that's, that's certainly growth. NBA loves to feature its big stars during the holidays, especially on Christmas Day. We've seen none of LeBron James this season. Victor Wembayama is gonna be out for weeks with an injury, and now we're awaiting the latest on Giannis Antotoumpo. He left the game last night with an injured groin. He's undergoing an MRI. Donovan Mitchell had 37 points. The Cavs beat the Bucks 118 to 106. Here's Spider Mitchell on the victory afterward. We rebounded, we responded to their offensive boards, we forced turnovers. We would stood a few runs, even when it felt like we were up. So there was one point I was like, man, we must be at 56, 10. I looked at the a one point game, right? Like, you know, continuing just to push the second half, especially, obviously with Giannis being out, they become a lot more unpredictable, right? You don't know. Ryan Rollins is, is talented. You got Gary Tran, Bobby Portis, Cole Anthony, Turner, like, you know what I mean, you never know where the offense is gonna come from. So being able to adjust different coverages, um, so I'm really happy with the way, you know, we, we played in the. Two teams with surprising starts going different directions in the NBA, Philly doing OK. The Clippers not so much. Philly wins last night 110 to 108. Tyrese Maxey, who's been fantastic for Philadelphia, had 39 points in the victory yesterday. The Clippers are now just 4 and 10 on the season. What a start for them. Here's Maxi on the return of Paul George in the victory last night. Great, great. um, he's able to do a lot of different things on the basketball court. I think his biggest Asset to us right now, like today was his defense, like his like defending he can guard multiple positions, he guarded Collins, he guarded James, he guarded, uh, I don't know, so many different people, and he was able to like just get deflections and get some blocks. So that was big for us. He shot the ball, made a 3, made a couple of plays and uh he was good. Speaking of injuries, as we mentioned, Victor Wimbayama has a left calf strain. It's being reported that he'll be sidelined for a few weeks. What that means exactly in the NBA. No one really knows for sure because that's the way this works in the National Basketball Association, but Wemby, who's uh been the favorite to win the MVP in the. NBA probably not so much as of now. Last night in the National Football League, the Dallas Cowboys picked up an easy victory on their way, potentially maybe back to the playoffs. Could it be possible? Dallas on the outside looking in, but they went to Las Vegas and destroyed the Raiders 33 to 16 in this game. It has been. A dismal season for Vegas, for Dallas, they're kind of hanging around 500. By the way, in this game, Dak Prescott through 4 touchdown passes. George Pickens, CD Lamb, both with great games. By the way, both did not play in the first quarter, so sort of a bizarre situation there. Meanwhile, Jamar Chase has been suspended 1. Game by the National Football League for spitting on uh Jalen Ramsey. Chase said he did not do it. Ramsey said he did. The NFL has deemed that video shows that he indeed did do it, but even still, Chase says I still didn't do it, and now he's going to appeal it. Because he's gonna lose a lot of money if he doesn't get to play this week. Also, Abdul Carter, who is accused of sleeping through a walkthrough, said he was just getting recovery in. Jackson Dart should play this week for the Giants, and the 49ers are searching for a new kicker. There's a possibility that Eddie Pinnero may have to go on injured reserve.
