Details on Tiger’s Achilles Surgery

Woods shared the update via his social media accounts but refrained from providing a definitive timeline for his return to competitive golf.

“As I increased my training and practice routine at home, I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles. After evaluation, it was confirmed that I had suffered a rupture,” Woods explained.

The surgical procedure, which utilized a less invasive approach, reportedly went as planned. These surgeries typically involve smaller incisions, allowing for a faster recovery. However, most patients still require at least a month before they can bear weight on the affected foot.

Woods’ Road to Recovery & Tournament Uncertainty

Following the procedure, Woods indicated that his focus will be on rehabilitation and regaining strength, leaving uncertainty surrounding his participation in upcoming tournaments.

The Masters, scheduled for April 10-13, remains in doubt for Woods, who holds the record for most consecutive cuts made (24) at Augusta National.

Woods has been largely absent from the competitive golf scene in recent months, apart from playing 18 holes at last week’s Seminole Pro-Member event. His previous official tournament appearance was at The Open Championship back in July 2024, where he missed the cut.
