Oh, it's the holiday season, people. You know it. Maybe you're running out there to get those last errands out here. Maybe you're going out for the latest tailor-made golf club or Nike shirt that you can buy. Sonny writes that it's Joe Ranieri. Maybe Keith Stewart did that. Do we have any swag for the people out here, Keith? Are we picking up any extra clubs? How about the alien sandwich? Can I sell you on that for the Christmas season? Well, you know what, Donnie, you know where the alien sandwich is sitting right in that corner of my closet next to this sweater. Yeah, I'll tell you, I have an alien wedge in my bag from back in the day. When I was 17 years old, instead of taking the hard way and going, you know what, let's learn the sand trap. I was able to use the alien in high school golf rules in the state of New Jersey. So how about that, Keith? We got a lot of stuff to get to today and a lot of fun, which includes the TGL Tigers Golf League getting back underway. Fill us in on some of the details, Keith. Sunday afternoon, 3 p.m. ABC linear television. I mean, what more could you ask for up against the Eagles and the Bills? I don't know. But you know what, we're, we're coming back with probably the best matchup we could get to start the season, and that is a redo of the finals. The New York Golf. Club, one of the hottest teams to finish season one against the Atlanta Drive, who have some injury questions, but you know what? They also have the Soi Cup trophy. So, I mean, a, you know, a banger of a first match, 3 p.m. this Sunday. I'll be down there in the Soi Center. You know, who knows? Maybe I'll even run into Joe down there. Oh, you absolutely will run into me, in fact, Keith, uh, and, uh, hopefully I'll be the one driving. Uh, let me ask you this though, Keith, give me the changes from year one to year two. Is that, have they changed anything? Is it pretty much what we saw last year, or have they added any few wrinkles with this? So, Joe, that, that's a great question. It's something that we really need to dive into here briefly is that they've, they've updated the gameplay. They talked to the media, they talked to the fans, and they especially talked to the players. And what it came down to is that last year, we know the team that made the most putts, the team that could scramble the best, forget the big screen, the team that played that green zone the best, won the championship. So, fast forward, what did they do? They expanded the size. The size of the putting surface. Instead of 7 hole locations, which, which got kind of redundant by the end of the season, we now have 12. They softened the plateaus between the two, like sides of the green. They removed a bunker. The sand there was absolutely horrific. You know, guys were hitting balls almost into the crowd, a la Kevin Kisner. So, they made the bunker smaller, shallower, and they gave them rivetted faces. And what that means in layman's terms is that they've made them much more. Stable, so the guys can actually play real bunker shots and not like chunk and run alien wedge shots like Donnie out of there. Um, they softened the hole, they softened all the turf around the green. So now, all of a sudden, the scoring for the different, you know, for the different holes, the way they're set up is going to be much more volatile. Guys are gonna be able to fire at pins, we're gonna see a lot more birdies, which is exactly what we wanna see. This is a simulator league. We're not talking Augusta National here. By the way, Keith, you know what's the interesting part about this too is because we didn't know how this league would actually turn out. And if the players think that it's a little bit more gimmicky, they wouldn't be excited about it or coming back to it. It feels like everybody they interview and talked to, they really have bought into this league and they're having fun with it. And that's half the battle, getting the players to show up the pros and be like, you know what, this is legitimate here. I want to play in this. Donnie, you're absolutely right. This time last year, going into it, I had two questions. Number 1, could this be a live sport? Will it work? Will the simulator tech work? Well, they checked that box. And then the second thing was, would these guys be into it? And you know what, being there, being in the media center, talking to these guys after. Each match, watching them kind of play, prepare, get ready for each match, look at the holes, they're scheming with the hammer strategy, all of that. They completely bought in. And I, you know, guess what? You know, we've talked a lot about, you know, the schedule changes that are coming, if the PGA Tour starts later. One of the, uh, Unintended benefits of all of this is that if there's an open January, think about how much TGL is going to be able to recruit players. I mean, we already know that they've got the Motor City Golf Club coming. They've also got a patent on the name Texas Golf Club. I don't know, Jordan Spieth, Scotty Scheffler joined up. I mean, with a with a completely empty. December and January, and half of February before we get into the 2027 season is what they're talking about. The TGL could really, really get a boost. And you know what? After season one, they deserve it. They like, they're, they're leaning into the gameplay. This thing is gonna be a lot more fun and the design of the holes is getting better. Any, uh, who's in and who's out that we didn't see last year? I, I know JT obviously is, is not in this year. Are there any new faces we can expect here, Keith? So I spoke to Billy Horschel last week in a Mia Zoom, and I asked him, I said, hey, you know, JT not likely coming back. I said, who is he, you know, who's replacing him? Because, you know, if it's like Scotty, I need to know because, you know, we're betting on these things. But as it turns out, the rumor mill is rampant on all of this, Joe. And it seems like Akshay is gonna be the man to replace JT for the Atlanta drive, and then, no, strike that. I'm sorry. Ben Griffin is the man. This is right off the hot stove here for TGL, you know, give me a second. And then the second thing is Jupiter links with Tiger Woods. We know Tiger had back surgery just like JT and Akshay seems to be going down to Jupiter. Now, the sources tell me this, I haven't confirmed it yet, but, you know, in the Adam Schefter world of TGL I'm your guy. Look at that. Keith gets it all brought up here. And by the way, we're not too close from the start of the PGA Tour season. What is that first big event that we can look forward to? Because typically it's over in Hawaii. Is that still the case this year, Keith, coming up? Donnie, we're 23 days away from the Sony Open and the start of the official PGA Tour season for next year. Um, we're gonna miss out on the century. No trade wins at Kapalua, no whale watching, Joe. I'm sorry, but you know what, we're gonna get it a week later. YLA Country Club. The Sony will kick us off, like I said, a little over 3 weeks away, 3 weeks from Christmas Day. Merry Christmas to both of you guys. Yeah, how about that at this point right now, Joe? What else you got for Keith? You're gonna join up or you're gonna, you're gonna go down to the, uh, Sofi? What are you doing, Joe? Come on. Well, I'll tell you what, guys, I'm I'm, I'm looking at the matchups. I'm looking at the lines for the first match, right? The Atlanta Golf, the Atlanta Drive Golf Club is favored -138. You've got New York GC at + 110. Look at those teams they're gonna roll out. You've got Lucas Glover, Patrick Cantley, and Billy Horschel. That's the only three names. We know on the Atlanta side. But on the other side, you've got Matt Fitzpatrick, you've got Ricky, you've got Cam Young, and you've got, uh, Xander Schofly. I love the plus money on New York Golf Club come Sunday afternoon. That's where I'm gonna put my money, and you know what, we're gonna cash our first match match bet of TGL for the year. I love it, Keith. By the way, those, uh, top flight magnas anymore at this point right now? Do you have any, any, uh, couple of sleeves of those hanging around? Oh, like it's right next to this sweater, the mothballs and the alien sandwich, and the alien sweats. I mean, them all together, people. You're really reaching here. I mean, you got 2 days to wait. Santa Claus is coming. Santa Claus is coming. Come on now, killing me, killing me. Good stuff here as we wrap it up just before the holiday break.
