Albert Pujols Interviews for Houston Astros Managerial Job

Albert Pujols is interviewing for the Houston Astros managerial job. If hired, he would become the first 700-home-run hitter to manage a team.

Several Hall of Famers have managed before, including Ryne Sandberg and Frank Robinson, although Pujols is not yet in the Hall of Fame.

Pujols should be a strong candidate, but Brad Ausmus is very close to Jeff Bagwell, who is in the front office. Morgan Ensberg was also teammates with the new general manager, Flores.

It remains to be seen what will happen, but Pujols deserves strong consideration. It would be great to see him managing somewhere soon.
