Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers made a trade to grab Pascal Siakam weeks before the deadline, giving him and star Tyrese Haliburton time to gel. With some deadline additions, the young Pacers have the talent to upset any team. Sitting at the sixth seed in the East, Indiana is looking to clinch their first trip to the postseason since 2020. They can do that in the second part of the season.

5 NBA Teams Poised for a Post-All-Star Break Surge
The second half of the NBA season is right around the corner. And with multiple squads looking to push for a playoff spot, some of the best basketball has yet to be played. Nonetheless, with teams looking to clinch a trip to the postseason, here are five teams that could be poised to make some noise.
New York Knicks
The New York Knicks made moves at the deadline that broke headlines and had many people considering them one of the favorites to make it to the Eastern Conference Finals. With their new additions and Julius Randle set to return to the lineup, the Knicks have the firepower and defense to compete with any team in the league. With the second half of the season lurking, New York could be in a position to play some of their best basketball in the Tom Thibodeau era and head into the postseason as a top-three seed.
NBA Championship Odds: New York Knicks: +2000
Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns entered the season as one of the championship favorites with their big three: Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal. However, with a slow start, primarily due to injuries, Phoenix is in the middle of the West. Nonetheless, with their squad starting to get healthy and the deadline addition of Royce O’Neale, the Suns look poised to rise in the standings. After finishing the first half of the season 7-3 in their last ten ahead of the All-Star break, Phoenix looks to carry over the momentum and finish the year strong.
NBA Championship Odds: Phoenix Suns: +1400
Dallas Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks made some of the most underrated moves at the trade deadline with the acquisitions of PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford. Both players fit exceptionally well alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, giving the Mavs another element they didn’t have beforehand. And ending the first half of the season on a six-game winning streak, Jason Kidd and his team have looked to turn a new page and put together some of their best games of the year with their rest of the season roster. If the Mavericks continue playing up to their potential, Dallas could be a team to watch.
NBA Championship Odds: Dallas Mavericks: +3600
Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors made a bold move at the trade deadline and opted to stand pat with their roster before the break. And while many didn’t agree with that plan, Stephen Curry and his team have looked to make progress since regaining health. The Warriors finished with an 8-2 record in their final ten games before All-Star weekend and looked to have found their way toward a winning recipe. Nonetheless, with Curry leading the team, Steve Kerr’s squad will always be poised to make a run at some point. Hopefully, it helps them make a surge toward the postseason.
NBA Championship Odds: Golden State Warriors: +5000
