Best NBA Betting Picks for Friday: 3-Game Parlay Predictions

Leg 1: Trail Blazers +14.5

Where to Watch Golden State Warriors vs. Portland Trail Blazers

The Golden State Warriors are desperately trying to avoid the play-in tournament. A win against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night would push them in the right direction. While we like their chances of claiming victory, the Warriors will face a more difficult challenge covering the hefty spread.

Golden State has struggled recently. Losers of two of their last three, the Dubs have proven unworthy of being installed as such heavy favorites. Moreover, this has been an unfavorable position over the long term. The Warriors have just two ATS victories in their last eight games as double-digit chalk.

Conversely, the Blazers have been on an upward trajectory. Portland has covered four of its last five, winning three of those contests straight up. That’s an advantage they can continue to wield in their penultimate game of the season.

We give the Trail Blazers an advantage given these teams’ current form. The moneyline is worth a look. We’re taking the conservative route and betting them to cover the +14.5 spread.

Leg 2: ORL-IND Over 212.5

Where to Watch Orlando Magic vs. Indiana Pacers

  • Arena: Gainbridge Fieldhouse
  • Location: Indianapolis, IN
  • Where to Watch: FDSIN
  • Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
  • Spread: IND -4 | Total: 212.5
  • Moneyline: IND -180 | ORL +150
  • Magic vs. Pacers Matchup Page

Two playoff-bound Eastern Conference teams will play at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Indiana Pacers will host the Orlando Magic in what should be a wildly entertaining affair.

Indiana’s offense is proliferating right now. Over their last nine games, the Pacers are averaging 122.8 points per game. Predictably, that surge correlates with a solid  ‘over’ trend. Indiana has stayed beneath the total in just two of those nine contests.

The Magic have seen a similar increase in scoring, albeit without the same pronounced ‘over’ trend. Orlando has put up above-average numbers in four of their last six, recording no fewer than 109 points in any of those four outings. Still, only two of their last four games have exceeded the total.

Both teams clearly prefer offense-first basketball right now. The Magic and Pacers should be happy to go shot-for-shot most of the evening, sending this one over its modest total.

Leg 3: Raptors +500

Where to Watch Toronto Raptors vs. Dallas Mavericks

  • Arena: American Airlines Center
  • Location: Dallas, TX
  • Where to Watch: KFAA, TSN, WFAA
  • Time: 8:30 p.m. ET
  • Spread: DAL -12.5 | Total: 224.5
  • Moneyline: DAL -700 | TOR +500
  • Raptors vs. Mavericks Matchup Page

The Toronto Raptors aren’t going down without a fight. Despite missing out on the playoffs for the third straight season, the Raps are ending the year on a high note. They can continue that upward trend in Friday’s matchup versus the Dallas Mavericks.

Toronto has won two in a row, maximizing production on both ends of the floor. They’ve held those opponents to an average of 102.5 points, while putting up 123.0 on 48.5% shooting.

The Mavericks’ recent efforts have been much less convincing. Dallas has dropped three in a row and four of its last five, putting together some of its worst offensive performances of the season. Altogether, they’re averaging 104.2 points per game, falling below the century mark in two of their last three.

The Raptors’ improved defensive prowess hampers the Mavs’ outlook in this one. They should have no problems covering the spread, but we’re taking a stand on the Raps’ moneyline.
