Best NBA Betting Picks for Sunday: 3-Game Parlay Predictions

San Antonio Spurs vs Toronto Raptors

  • Arena: Scotiabank Arena
  • Location: Toronto, ON
  • Where to Watch: FDSSW, TSN
  • Time: 6:10 p.m. ET
  • Spread: TOR -2| Total: 233.5
  • Moneyline: TOR -126 | SA +108
  • Spurs vs Raptors Matchup Page

Leg 1: Raps -2

After winning six of seven, the Toronto Raptors have lost three straight. The playoff hopefuls will be looking to end that more recent streak when they host the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday night.

The Raps’ recent downturn resulted from lackluster offensive play, but they showed signs of breaking free in their most recent contest. Toronto dropped 114 on the Golden State Warriors on 56.4% shooting. They were incredibly efficient from range,  draining 11-of-26 from beyond the arc for a 42.3% rating.

Further, the Raptors won’t face much resistance from the Spurs. Since Victor Wembanyama went down with a season-ending shoulder injury, San Antonio has been a shell of its former self in the defensive half. The Spurs are giving up an average of 122.9 points per game. Additionally, they rank as one of the worst teams at defending the three, giving up a 36.3% shooting percentage on the season.

Toronto showed signs of coming back to life last time out, and a repeat performance against the defensively bankrupt Spurs is inevitable. We like the Raps’ chances of covering the short number.

Denver Nuggets vs Houston Rockets

  • Arena: Toyota Center
  • Location: Houston, TX
  • Where to Watch: SCHN, ALT, KTVD
  • Time: 7:10 p.m. ET
  • Spread: HOU -7 | Total: 225
  • Moneyline: HOU -280 | DEN +230

Leg 2: Over 225

Two Western Conference juggernauts take to the court in the Lone Star State as the Houston Rockets host the Denver Nuggets. Denver has been mired in a bit of a slump lately, correlating with a sharp increase in ‘overs.’

Losers of three of their last five, the Nuggets have been usurped in the standings by the Rockets. The root of those issues is ineffective defensive basketball. Opponents are averaging 121.0 points per game across the five-game sample, with all but one of those teams scoring at least 120 points. That plays into a recent Rockets offensive surge, which we’ve witnessed over the past few outings.

Coming into tonight’s heated affair, Houston has averaged 122.4 points per game over its previous five contests. Not surprisingly, that increase in scoring correlates with more three-point attempts. The Rockets have attempted no fewer than 28 three-point attempts in any of those outings while shooting an improved 39.8% from distance.

The Rockets have leveled up their offensive play over their recent schedule. At the same time, we’ve seen the Nuggets’ eroding defensive standards. Expect Houston to push the pace and Denver to try and keep up in what should end up being a high-scoring affair.

OKC Thunder vs LA Clippers

  • Arena: Intuit Dome
  • Location: Inglewood, CA
  • Where to Watch: NBA TV, KTLA, FDSOK
  • Time: 9:10 p.m. ET
  • Spread: OKC -3 | Total: 227
  • Moneyline: OKC -158 | LAC +134
  • Thunder vs Clippers Matchup Page

Leg 3: Clippers +3

The LA Clippers face the daunting task of slowing down the Western Conference-leading OKC Thunder. Thankfully, the Clippers have been on one of their hottest ATS streaks of the season, a trend we expect to continue on Sunday night.

LA enters tonight’s intra-conference affair on a five-game winning streak. More impressively, they’ve covered the number in each one of those contests while being priced as underdogs twice. That continues an impressive streak, and they’ve won outright as underdogs in three straight.

OKC has been on an equally impressive run, winning its last five, but this sets up a flat spot for the Northwest Division leaders. Over their previous two games, the Thunder have vastly overachieved offensively. Their shooting percentage is up to 54.9%, almost a seven-point jump relative to their season-long benchmark of 48.1%.

The Clippers are one of the best defensive teams in the league. They’ll be ready to facilitate the Thunder’s anticipated regression. There’s value in backing the Clippers to cash outright, but we’re playing it safe and taking them as +3 underdogs at the Intuit Dome.

Best NBA Betting Picks for Sunday: Raptors -2, Nuggets vs Rockets Over 225, Clippers +3 (+608)

Parlaying these three picks yields bettors a potential return of +608. We like the Raps’ chances of covering a short number at home, the Nuggets and Rockets going over the total, and the Clippers keeping things close versus the Thunder.
