Celtics vs Suns Wednesday Prediction | NBA Picks Today, Best Bets

On Wednesday night, the Boston Celtics continue their West Coast road trip with a showdown against the Phoenix Suns. Boston enters this game riding a six-game winning streak, continuing to build momentum ahead of what they hope will be a deep postseason run. On the flip side, the Suns are amid a four-game winning streak, hoping to remain in the playoff race with only ten games remaining.
Both teams will be missing key pieces in Wednesday’s matchup. The Celtics will likely be without superstar Jayson Tatum, who sprained his ankle on Monday night, and the Suns have already ruled out Bradley Beal, who’s nursing a hamstring injury. Regardless, both teams will enter this matchup looking to extend their winning streak another game.

Celtics vs Suns Best Bet: Celtics -4.5
Despite the Cs being without Tatum in this matchup, they’ve proven time and time again that their depth can get the job done on any given night. These teams have not faced off this season, but Boston has succeeded against opponents with similar playing styles to Mike Budenholzer and the Suns. Considering the Cs have seemingly played better when understaffed at times this year, it won’t be a shock to see the Celtics steal another win on the road, especially considering they have a league-best 20-6 record on the road and a 12-1 away record in the last two months.
Celtics vs Suns Best Total Bet: Over 220.5
Both teams have the firepower to score points in a hurry. The Celtics rank No. 7 in the league with 116.6 points per game, and the Suns trail them, averaging 114.6. Assuming this trend stays the same, the 220.5-point set total should be easily exceeded.
Celtics Best Player Bet: Derrick White to Record 6+ Assists +124
Derrick White has been one of the more underrated guards in the league for a while. Over the last two games, the Colorado product has finished with eight assists in each. Considering the ball will likely be in his hands more without Tatum, I like the odds that White has another solid night as a facilitator.
Suns Best Player Bet: Kevin Durant 4+ Made Threes +230
Kevin Durant is doing everything he can to keep the Suns’ playoff chances alive. Over the last couple of games, the 36-year-old has averaged 40 points per game. Throughout his hot shooting, the versatile scorer has finished with 4+ threes in each game, including seven made threes on Monday night. Durant will likely continue to stay aggressive on Wednesday against Boston.
