Knicks vs 76ers Best Bet ATS: 76ers +3
Is it too early in the season to make any game a must-win? Absolutely, but for morale alone, the 76ers need this game like blood. Joel Embiid makes his much-anticipated return to the floor after dealing with a ton of animosity surrounding his early season absence. We will see an angry Embiid on the floor tonight. As we know, an angry Embiid is a dangerous Embiid. Looking at the Knicks, they’ve been largely unimpressive to start the season and should not be laying three points on the road to an Embiid-led 76ers squad with how they’ve looked. Plus, it goes without saying that the 76ers will be looking for revenge after their postseason run ended in the spring. We like them on the moneyline, but getting three points is a must-bet at minimum.

Knicks vs 76ers Best Total Bet: First Quarter UNDER 54.5 Points
When star players return after an extended absence, my general rule of thumb is to bet the first quarter to go under the total, and I don’t see any reason to stray away from that. The 76ers’ offense will definitely need some time to get fully acclimated to Embiid’s presence. On the other hand, we can expect Embiid to play with a heightened defensive presence out of the gate that will likely lessen as the game progresses.

76ers Top Prop: Joel Embiid 5+ Assists (+155)
Call this a gut play, but Joel Embiid has openly admitted that he’s excited for less pressure to be on his shoulders to score the ball with Paul George’s arrival, wanting to be a playmaker for his teammates more. That won’t start fully with Tyrese Maxey sidelined, but I’m looking for Embiid to camp out at the top of the paint, welcome in the double teams, and dish out to his open teammates. At +155, we’ll look for him to record five assists, as he averaged 5.6 assists last season and recorded at least five assists in four of six games against the Knicks last season.
Knicks Top Prop: Karl-Anthony Towns UNDER 23.5 Points (-115)
Karl-Anthony Towns has been better than expected on the offensive side of the floor for the Knicks, averaging 24.9 points on the season. He enters tonight with at least 30 points scored in three straight games. We’re not counting on that because he’ll have a formidable defensive matchup against Embiid. Still, these other Knicks have more at stake against the 76ers, given their ties to the Philadelphia area. Jalen Brunson always wants to make his mark, and now Mikal Bridges will want to be a significant factor. This won’t be KAT’s night.
