Lakers vs 76ers Tuesday Prediction | NBA Picks Today, Best Bets

John Canady

Host · Writer

On Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers hit the road for an East Coast trip to take on the Philadelphia 76ers. Los Angeles enters this matchup having won four of its last five games, including two big-time wins against the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics. Meanwhile, the 76ers’ inconsistencies have continued, while health remains an issue for Nick Nurse’s squad.

Lakers vs 76ers

  • Location: Well Fargo Center (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) | Date: Tuesday, Jan. 28
  • Where to Watch: TNT | Time: 7:30 PM ET
  • Spread: Lakers -4, Moneyline: Lakers -174, Total: 216

Lakers vs 76ers Best Bet: Lakers -4

The 76ers enter this matchup with a laundry list of an injury report, including Joel Embiid and Paul George, who have already been listed as out. Despite being at home, Philadelphia will have difficulty matching up with a Lakers team that seems to be turning the corner as of late. This game should be a blowout if Los Angeles doesn’t play with their food.

Lakers vs 76ers Best Total Bet: Under 216

The Lakers have been rolling on offense lately, while the 76ers have struggled to find consistency. If Philadelphia enters this matchup healthy, it would feel like a safe bet to take the over, with both squads looking to see how each side matches up against the other. However, this seems too tall of a task for the Sixers to overcome, making it even more difficult for the Lakers to carry the weight and hit the over on the set total of 216. A final score of 114-98 seems like a realistic outcome.

Lakers Best Player Bet: Anthony Davis 30+ Points +150

Anthony Davis has turned the clock back as he’s looked like his former self this season in his first year under new head coach JJ Redick. The Kentucky product is averaging 26.3 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists on the season while shooting 52.7% from field goal range. Fresh off a 42-point outing on Monday night and 36 points on Saturday, Davis seems like a safe bet to dominate the depleted 76ers front court.

76ers Best Player Bet: Kelly Oubre Jr. 20+ Points +140

Kelly Oubre Jr. has been relied on to pick up the slack for the 76ers over the last few weeks as the team’s injury woes continue. The former first-round pick averages 13.9 points per game but mainly as a reserve piece for Philadelphia. However, since his volume has increased over the last couple of games, Oubre Jr. has surpassed the 20-point mark in each of the Sixers’ previous two games. I’ll take the odds that the forward is involved heavily on Tuesday.
