Legs 1 & 2: Anthony Edwards 3+ Threes & 4+ Rebounds

To start the season, Anthony Edwards has prioritized being a factor from beyond the arc. He’s attempted 13.3 attempts per game from deep, making five threes in each game thus far. We need three from him tonight, and knowing he’s a near-lock to attempt at least ten, I’ll take my chances. We’ll also look for him to grab us four rebounds, as he’s grabbed at least six rebounds in each game thus far this season. Edwards should be motivated to give us a dominant, well-rounded outing after what the Mavs did to them in the WCF last season, so asking him to make three shots from deep and grab four rebounds isn’t too much to expect.

Leg 3: Donte DiVincenzo 10+ Points

We’ll look for Donte DiVincenzo to give us ten points off the bench tonight. He’s scored at least ten points in two of three games thus far this season, with the lone miss being a nine-point showing. We know he’ll put up a ton of shots no matter how many minutes he’ll ultimately see, and with the Mavericks being on the second night of the back-to-back, the tired legs should greatly benefit him coming off the bench.

Leg 4: Mike Conley 4+ Assists

With the scoring we’re hoping to get from Edwards and DiVincenzo tonight, we’ll look for Mike Conley to get the assists, as we need four from him tonight. He’s done that in two of three games this season, increasing his total in each game. That’s good enough for us for what should be a high-scoring game.

Leg 5: Luka Doncic 25+ Points

One thing I can always appreciate about Luka Doncic is that he rarely has back-to-back poor performances. He was miserable in the Mavericks’ last game, scoring 15 points on 5-for-22 shooting from the field. He won’t be that bad tonight, especially considering the national spotlight on this game. I’ll expect more of those shots to go in, getting us through the 25-point mark. He was unreal against the Wolves in last year’s WCF, so I won’t expect tonight to be any different.

Legs 6 & 7: PJ Washington Jr. 1+ Three & 4+ Rebounds

PJ Washington Jr. was one of our more reliable parlay legs last season, so we’ll go to him for two tonight as we’re looking for him to drill a three-pointer and grab four rebounds. First, he’s averaged 5.3 shot attempts from deep through three games, so if we get five or even just four from beyond the arc, I like the odds I’m getting for him to make just one. We’ll also look for him to grab four rebounds, as he’s averaged 7.3 rebounds per game to start the season and averaged 6.4 rebounds against the Wolves in the WCF last season

Leg 8: Klay Thompson 3+ Threes

Klay Thompson has been everything the Mavericks could have hoped for offensively to start the season, making at least four threes in all three games. We need three from him tonight, and while I worry about the Wolves’ perimeter defense, Klay has done an excellent job creating for himself away from the ball, something he struggled with at times last season. He’ll also take at least ten threes, so expecting him to go 3-for-10 should be the minimum.
