On Wednesday, the United States Men’s Basketball Team will continue its quest for a fifth straight Olympic gold medal, facing South Sudan in group play.
These teams last met during the USA Basketball Showcase on July 20, where the Americans narrowly escaped with a 101-100 victory despite being resounding favorites.
Below, you will find three of my best player props, starting with none other than “The King."

USA LeBron James OVER 15.5 Points (-120)
LeBron James is fresh off a 21-point performance in 27 minutes during USA’s 110-84 Olympic opening victory over Serbia. James scored 23 points in 21 minutes against South Sudan in the Showcase and has topped his 15.5 scoring prop in three straight games (exhibition + Olympics).
South Sudan Marial Shayok OVER 14.5 Points (-113)
Guard Marial Shayok dropped 15 points in 23 minutes during South Sudan’s 90-79 Olympic opening win over Puerto Rico. In their last meeting, he lit up the USA with 24 points, including six three-pointers.
USA Jrue Holiday OVER 1.5 Made Threes (+116)
Point guard Jrue Holiday has drained at least two triples in two of his past three games (exhibition + Olympics), including three in USA’s Olympic opener, making this prop a value pick at plus money.
