8:30 p.m. ET Boston Celtics (2-0) vs. Dallas Mavericks (0-2)
Spread: Mavericks (-2.5) | Moneyline: Celtics (+122), Mavericks (-146) | Total: 212.5 (-112) | Location: American Airlines Center | How to Watch: ABC, fubo (live stream)
Boston’s depth has been on full display, particularly through the play of Kristaps Porzingis (20 PTS in Game 1) and Jrue Holiday (26 PTS in Game 2). Although Porzingis is currently questionable due to a ‘rare’ leg injury, the Celtics have played the majority of the postseason without him, posting a 14-2 overall mark, including a perfect 6-0 on the road.
On the Mavericks side, while Luka Doncic has been stellar (29.0 PPG, 9.7 RPG, 8.5 APG in the series), much more is needed from running mate Kyrie Irving, who has managed just 28 points on 13-of-37 shooting through the opening two games. More concerning for Dallas is that Boston has shown it can win without standout performances from stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
Overall, I haven’t seen anything to suggest that the Celtics should be underdogs in this matchup, and I’m confident in backing Joe Mazzulla‘s squad.
Best Bets: Celtics +2.5 (-106), Celtics Moneyline (+124)
