NBA SGP: +1200 Oklahoma City Thunder @ Boston Celtics

We have an interesting non-conference battle tonight featuring two of the league’s best teams as the Boston Celtics host the Oklahoma City Thunder. Boston is showing no signs of slowing down despite having everything locked up in the East, as they are just a single win shy of becoming the first team this season to reach the 60-win mark, so we worked up an ultimate same-game parlay.

Leg 1: Celtics ML
Part of me is trying to find a way to back the Thunder, but I can’t do it. The Thunder need this game way more than the Celtics because of OKC’s loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, dropping them from the first seed to the third in the West. They need this game like blood and will have a well-rested Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams after both sat last night in Philly. Still, Boston is showing no signs of taking its foot off the gas and boasts an astounding 32-3 record at home this season. The Celtics are nine-point favorites, and I trust they can reach their 60th win tonight.
Legs 2, 3, & 4: Jayson Tatum 25+ Points, 8+ Rebounds, 4+ Assists
Before breaking down Jayson Tatum’s recent games, he dropped 30 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists previously against the Thunder this season. OKC is not great at defending forwards who attack the rim and aren’t afraid to mix it up on the glass, as evidenced by Tatum’s past outing. Still, Tatum has had at least 25 points in 11 straight games, at least eight rebounds in four consecutive, and at least four assists in eight straight. All things being considered, alongside a win, expect Tatum’s best on his home floor.
Legs 5 & 6: Kristaps Porzingis 15+ Points, 6+ Rebounds
Kristaps Porzingis has consistently scored, with at least 15 points in 23 of his last 24 games (the one miss being a 14-point outing on a cold shooting night). His production on the glass has been inconsistent, but he’s averaged eight rebounds per game over his last three outings. OKC also allows the fifth most rebounds to opposing centers this season. He has a 34-point, ten-rebound performance in his back pocket against the Thunder this season, so expect to see Porzingis go right at Chet Holmgren in the paint.
Leg 7: Derrick White 4+ Assists
As we’re targeting the scoring production from Tatum and Porzingis, we’ll look to Derrick White to dominate as a distributor. He’s had at least four assists in 17 of his last 19 games and averaged 12 potential assists over his previous seven games. We need four, and we trust a fast tempo will help him do the job.
Legs 8 & 9: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 25+ Points, 4+ Assists
We’re riding with Gilgeous-Alexander for our final leg, even though he’s fallen short of the 25-point threshold in five consecutive games. OKC needs this game for playoff seeding, and SGA is coming into tonight well-rested. SGA must show why he deserves to be in the MVP conversation in front of a national audience. We know he can drop 25 points whenever he feels like it, and we’ll need him to be a distributor for at least four assists. He’s averaging 6.3 assists per game on the season. It’s do-or-die time for the Thunder, and with a loss, their chances of getting a top-two seed will shrink massively. However, expect SGA to give everything he has regardless of the outcome.
